Remarks

College management is vedic institute so, more or less power to take decision are not exercised by them, it is the top layer of faculty which took most of decisions. when decision are taken by individuals, sometime individual interest gained preference over the needs at large or at general. i personally feel if management start taking administration in direct hand organisation do much well

Entrance Preview

It is not entrance test based qualification, i applied after 12th and reason of selection of this college is glorious academic history of college and vedic values it delivers.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Curriculum is standardize (as designed by academic council of university), there is no elective subject options in pass course. yes you can take additional subject in 2nd year (when i passed it was annual system). But now course is semester system based.

Internships Opportunities

Yes it offers internship facility for courses which are of practical nature or skills based. I was in traditional course (B.Com) so i can't say much about this.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement cell is working very aggressively and good amount of companies also come to college campus. but due less amount of service sector and others industry in nearby area of jalandhar, hence recruitment and offered packages are not high in numbers

College Events

2.5

Session start with vedic act of 'havan'. Each department has its own events and activities. for commerce department there is commerce forum, which organisation quiz, training, workshops for commerce students. Cultural and sports events are conducted frequently

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible if seen in comparison to other courses and colleges, but seems expensive against the infrastructure provided. when i was studying in year 2008-2011 annual fee is around 25000/-. But good thing college offers fee concession and free books for students from economic week sections.

Fees and Financial Aid

College offers fee concession and free books for students from economic week sections. Apart from this all govt initiative's benefits are duly passed on to students

Campus Life

2.5

Campus life is good, there are good library, where anyone can spend whole day in variety of books. Campus also have lash green parks, which are generally and more or less remain filled with students. Cultural and sports events are conducted frequently

Hostel Facilities

3

Actually i was day scholar, so i don't have personal experience, but friend of mines who are staying in hostel says meal are good but hostel lodging is not that much good (Reason might be, college was established in 1918 and later to that hostel construction may also took place. so construction was old)

Alumni/Alumna

List of alumni is maintained, some individual effort to re-connect alumni through social sites also taken, but some formal portal is still missing

Exam Structure

In some of course there are both internal and external exam and evaluation , but in B.com most of exam from university only and subjective nature's written exam only (theory and practical based). I must say examination pressure is there, i think it depends upon student individually.

Admission

Process is very easy, as admission cell (situated in college itself) offer counselling and guidance both in regard to dates, fee and procedure and administration office staff also helpful in process. Good thing being principle meet each student who seek admission.

Faculty

4

Faculty is well educated and trained. Teaching skills are excellent due large amount of teachers are senior staff members (with 10-15 years of experience or plus). young teachers are also there in form of adhoc faculties, all of them have high level of passion.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Firstly every course have different fee structure. As my course is BCOM so i think if you need to make some higher knowledge of commerce you should go for it because it can help you to make your overall basic knowledge good even if you don't related to commerce stream in 11th or 12th. the way of teaching in the collage is good but still some of the teachers don't have interest to teach their student in the better way. exam system in the collage is good and its difficuly level is moderate also its depend on the subject and point of view of the students
