Likes

Hostel is very good.i mean to say that it is of modern standard.
Proffessors are very helpful and friendly
placement is awesome especially in computer science and engineering branch.

Dislikes

there are very less foodies shops inside and outside the campus
since it is 2nd gen IIT, so many things are under construction
there is no swimming pool inside the campus

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because earlier I had always been enthusiastic about learning and exploring different fields in Tech. Basically, I found my interest in tech while studying Informatics practices in school. Faculties here at IIT Patna are well qualified, after all, there is a very rigorous selection process for being faculty at IIT. The faculties here are supportive. The exams are held on time and are easy to pass.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 180000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Students get internship opportunities in 3rd year but girl students get in 2nd-year itself. The average stipend offered is around 60000. Major recruiters are Google, Qualcomm, HDFC bank, Oracle, Bosch, Optum, etc.

Placement Experience

After 3rd year, students become eligible for placements. companies like GOOGLE, AMAZON, ADOBE, etc. visit IITP. Last year around 160 companies visited with more than 400 offers made. The average package of college is 23 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since IITs are government institutions and are primary engineering institutions of india, students get education here at a very high subsidised price. Also, if anyone's family income is less than 4.5 lakhs and 1 lakhs, then one gets 66% and 100% remission in tution fees respectively.

Campus Life

There are three kinds of fests that happen at IIT Patna, Tech Fest - celesta, Cultural Fest- Anwesha, and Sports fest- Infinito. Out of these fests, Anwesha is the biggest fest of IITP. All classrooms are of modern standard and air-conditioned. There are a variety of clubs here one can imagine like, NJACK - coding club, HOOT - public speaking club, Moodboard - design club, etc.

Admission

Students are admitted to IIT Patna through JEE ADVANCED exam which is one of the toughest examinations in India. Around 2.5 lakh candidates selected from JEE MAINS are eligible to apply for JEE ADVANCED and only around 17000 are finally able to make out to IIT. The application form is released after a few days of jee mains result and application fees for male candidates are around 2800 rupees. Also, around 60 percent of seats are reserved for different categories like OBC-NCL, EWS, SC, ST, PWD, etc.

Best at Low rank and low Fee

Placement Experience:

The placement of this college is not good at all. The avrage package of this college is around 4-5 Lpa. Because this college is new so the placement is not good here. But Our college is trying their best for getting the good placement to student.

Reality of the intership

Campus placement was good as I came but it is degrading year to year, this year only 30 percent of ece students are placed, no more company of ece core came here ece and cse get same job as no of students increased in my batch 300 and ece 250 thus in 2027 placement will become worst , Upsc, gate, ssc these are end things

IIT Patna is very best in India. According to NIRF ranking 2025, IIT Patna is ranked 36th in the overall category, and 39th in the research institutes category. In the India Today rankings 2024, it was ranked 9th in the category of colleges. Admission process was very smooth, firstly you apply / registration in B.Sc (CSDA) course. If cleared cutt-off and counselling, then facility contact you through the mail and after 1 to 2 weeks college organizes group discussion (GD) & verified document.
