Remarks

The admission takes place through the performance in the prestigious exam of Jee Advanced. For giving exam you need to qualify for jee mains. Eligibility for giving jee mains includes scoring 75 per cent and above in board exams

Course Curriculum Overview

The course here is a bit lengthy but superb because it trains you for hard academics and improves problem-solving skills. It increases the ability of students to perform under pressure. The professor-to-student ratio is good and all the professors are friendly and amazing.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 350000 per year

Internships Opportunities

An internship here starts from 3rd year for which you would again have to face tough competition because you would compete with other iitians in this race where only 220-300 students get an internship out of 720 students.

Placement Experience

Placements at IIT Patna is something because of which many people prefer it or have come here( including me). I don't care even if someone says I am biased but many others believe that placements here are even better than some of the old IITs.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees here are high compared to other government colleges and iits. Of course, you would get some compensation depending on your financial status and category. The campus offers a high average or median package which is rare the highest package offered till now is 1.34Cr till now.

Campus Life

The college provides a hell of lot a of opportunities for extracurricular activities. The club culture here is also very nice as it provides various options for exploring different things like Jack for coding, Robocon for robotics

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms provide 3 beds, 2 almirahs, and 2 fans as it is triple sharing. The hostel (C V Raman ) provides 2 watercoolers on each floor which might not be working or not in the optimal conditions, 3 washrooms and 8 washing machines for 570 students out of which 2 work so most of us wash our clothes by hand

Placement Experience:

The placement of this college is not good at all. The avrage package of this college is around 4-5 Lpa. Because this college is new so the placement is not good here. But Our college is trying their best for getting the good placement to student.

Campus placement was good as I came but it is degrading year to year, this year only 30 percent of ece students are placed, no more company of ece core came here ece and cse get same job as no of students increased in my batch 300 and ece 250 thus in 2027 placement will become worst , Upsc, gate, ssc these are end things

IIT Patna is very best in India. According to NIRF ranking 2025, IIT Patna is ranked 36th in the overall category, and 39th in the research institutes category.
