Course Curriculum Overview

4

Mbbs is a 5.5-year course which includes regular theory and practical classes daily along with regular postings in hospital and internship in the last year of this course. Our college provides excellent classes by highly skilled faculty and our hospital also has a large patient input daily for excellent clinical practices. Faculties are also doctors with high qualifications they use ppt to take lectures and show us all instruments during practical classes. We have periodic PCT and sessional exams throughout the year and finally University exam at the end of each proof which is required to pass to go in the next prof.

Fees and Financial Aid

Mbbs is very costly in our country but government colleges have very low fee structures. Mgmmc has an annual 1 lakh tuition fee with some extra charges for the library etc. Hostel charges are 12000 per annum excluding mess charges which vary in different messes. We get scholarships like medhavi and post-matric scholarships in which the whole tuition fee is paid by the government in return we need to do 1-year regular service bond.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is very good in this college. We have a library, gym, badminton hall, TT hall, canteen, garden and many other things inside our college. Also, new lecture halls were made for new batches. An annual fest called nirvana is celebrated.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facility is provided by college itself. They are situated near college.Every batch gets a separate block in hostel and 2 students share a single room in it. Mess is available in hostel with provides nice food. Many students who don't want to live in hostel rent a room in city and live there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The MBBS course curriculum is quite comprehensive and well-structured, covering all the essential aspects of medical science needed for both academic growth and clinical practice. The inclusion of subjects like Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry in the first year builds a strong foundation for understanding the human body and disease mechanisms. The curriculum is relevant as it gradually progresses from basic to clinical subjects, preparing students for real-world medical applications and patient care. Teaching methods such as interactive lectures, practical sessions, dissections, and clinical demonstrations make learning more engaging and concept-based. However, more emphasis on integrated teaching, case-based discussions, and exposure to real clinical settings from the early years would further enhance understanding and application. The frequency and timing of exams are generally well-planned, but sometimes the schedule can feel packed, leaving limited time for conceptual revision. Overall, the curriculum is highly relevant and effective, though incorporating more modern teaching methods, simulation-based learning, and periodic skill assessments could make it even better suited for today’s medical challenges.
