Likes

I liked the Reference section of the college having I7 computers
A huge playground with both cricket and football fields included.
Hostel life is great, hanging out with friends.

Dislikes

Low class faculties teaching nothing during the course.
Girls are not allowed to field and there is no girls team representing college in sports.
College infrastrucure is bad and has least opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview

This course is currently the most emerging field and is based on the technology. faculty-student ratio of approximately : 1/3 Most of the faculties are master's from NIT Rourkela and HODs are post-graduates from IIT Delhi. Exams are conducted in every 6 months but due to COVID-19 time loss, the exams were conducted in 3 months to finish semesters faster. Questions are provided by BPUT University, which are quite average - difficult.

Internships Opportunities

The company ZSI ( a biological museum ) has offered an internship in web development. There are projects for college website modification with AI and Electrical vehicle building. We are required to do internships on our own and very few or negligible internship opportunities are here.

Placement Experience

The placements are not much better, a few companies are coming for placements like Adani, TCS, Cognizant etc. The highest package is 12 lakhs per annum. average package is 4.5 lakhs per annum provided by Adani, cognizant etc. percentage of placements is 70%. I may study master's or opt for a job in a technical company.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are quite affordable and are helpful for most middle-class families. The course is good with respect to the fees. Medhabruti Scholarship is provided by Govt. of odisha providing 40000 for the whole course for families incoming below 5 lakhs. The college provides incampus placements of about 4.5 lakhs of average package. The placement shell is working well and is bringing better companies in every year.

Campus Life

The life at campus is not much better. clubs are inactive and are occasionally active. infrastructure is not good, the central library is under development. The name of the annual fest is Exuberance: This year fest was conducted in May. A variety of books are available in the college library and professional books for faculties. Arena is conducted every year that is the interbranch competition in all sports. There are Cadence club for singing and dancing, Odishi club, Writera club for debates and essay writing, Shadows club for photography and all sports clubs.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility is quite better and the rooms are made for 3 people and 2 people per room in the new building. There are 2 fans per room. Meal quality is average contains a lot of oil and is affordable.

Hostel Fee: INR 45000 per year

Admission

The admission process involves : Applicant needs to attempt the JEE examination. Apply for JOSAA counselling: Based on the ranks obtained in JEE, JOSAA counselling will provide a suitable college to the applicant. To fix the seat, rs 10000 needs to be submitted to the college. The cutoff for the CSE branch in PMEC is around 300000. The application form can be found on the official page of the PMEC website: pmec.ac.in. There is the availability of TFW candidates for low incoming families. The number of seats in any branch should be displayed during the counselling process.

Placements are definitely there for coaching centres in my branch. Many big and reputed coaching institutions like akash, byjus etc came for recruitment. More R & D comapnis can be included. the nterview process and the packages were decent for the role offered.

My first impression of the college I chose

Course Curriculum Overview:

The technical background and future influenced me to choose this course. The preparation for real-world applications or further academic pursuits are average. Theres no fair improvement needed in the course curriculum and teaching methods. The frequency of the exams are 2 sem exams and 4 quiz in class exams. Parala Maharaja Engineering College BERHAMPUR is a very good college for B.Tech in the branch like civil and electrical. I opt for civil because I have a interest in civil engineering. The college has a better infrastructure and better faculty in civil that’s why I chose civil and this college has better infrastructure than other colleges like Indira Gandhi institute of technology Sarang. It is a better place than what I have explored in this four year of my study. The faculties of civil engineering are very good. I opt for civil in this college because of the infrastructure that is better than the other colleges. The admission here is very simple. You have to submit the documents that you had uploaded at the time of counseling. The additional factor is that the aspiring candidate must have passed 12th grade and have appeared in JEE Main exam or OJEE Exam. After this the next process involves applying for counseling of OJEE. No I don't apply any other colleges my first preference is this college which I got admission. I choose this college because it's nearby my home town and the low price of fees structure.
