Course Curriculum Overview

Faculty members are good and cooperative. They are helpful and cheer us on. They support us in any type of competitive exam and make sure our doubts are resolved. There are around 20 faculties in our branch. All of them are cooperative.

Internships Opportunities

Various students do various internships in their 3rd year. Some students do in their 2nd year also. The placement Cell provides us permission for opportunities. The major internship are in Tata power.

Placement Experience

Placement is average in our college. The average package is around 300000. This year's highest package was 1200000 per year. Generally, more students are Gate exam and software oriented. Around 85 percent of students are getting placed every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

We deposit around 18000 for course fees annually and around 50000 for hostel fees annually. There is a scholarship section on our campus that inform us about various scholarships in the WhatsApp group. There is also a placement Cell that informs about placement and gives the opportunity to all students on campus.

Campus Life

Campus life is good. There are 7 to 8 clubs in our college are all of them are active always. The Students are cooperative and helpful. Our class happens from 10 AM to 5 PM. There are nearly 7 classes in a day. Books are available in the library.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility is good. Food and canteen is average. There are 3 boys' hostels and 2 girls' hostels on campus and one boys' hostel outside the campus. We give around 18000 per year for a hostel. Meals are healthy.

Hostel Fee: INR 50000 per year

Admission

I have appeared jee main exam in which I secured 79 percentile and a rank of around 2lakh. The branch cutoff in our college was 5 lakh. Then by the process of choice filling and choice locking I have been admitted to Parala Maharaja Engineering College.

Placement Experience:

Our college give good placement but packages are very low package start with 150000 and end in 700000 . But you study properly then you try pursuing higher studies. 40% students placed but below 400000 . after completing you try off campus placement then you secured good salary on good company.

placements are average...not feels like an iit but its ok ...this yaer percentage of placement was 90% and highest ctc was of 67.4 LPA with median of 12LPA and average of 17 LPA ...most of the placements for SDE roles. My plan is to finish my degree as soon as possible and get placed for a SDE role so that i can survive

The placement stats of IIT Bhubaneswar are quite good. For the 2025 placement season, the highest CTC was 67.6 LPA and the mean CTC was 14.5 LPA, with a total of 22 PPO offers. Approximately 90% students were placed this year. Major recruiters were Google, Oracle, Zomato, Goldman Sachs, NVIDIA and Meesho. This year, there were 5 international offers (4 from Accenture Japan and 1 core offer from Niterra Japan).

Honest and Genuine review of NIT Rourkela

Placement Experience:

So the students become eligible for placemant usually from the 7th semester of the Btech which is from the 4th year and the internship opportunities are available from the 3rd year onwards that is from 5th and 6th semester. So in year 2024-25 the number of companies that visited The campus is around 330 And the total job offers offered is about 1200. So the highest package in the EC branch is about 1.2 crore per annum and the average package for the EC branch is around 13 to 14 lakhs. And the Profile of jobs are core electronics, VLSI and semiconductor roles ,system and embedded developments, software engineering, IT services, consulting and analytics. The percentage of student which are getting placed are in the range of 90 to 99% for ECE branch. The top recruiters are Apple Google, Microsoft, Amazon, wipro, Deloitte, Tata,Vedanta etc. After completing my degree in ECE from NIT Rourkela my plan is to join the core technology sector as a VLSI and semiconductor engineer in a reputed multinational Companies, leveraging the strong foundation and industrial exposure gained during my studies in case I do not secure a campus placement I aim to pursue the off campus opportunities in electronics, IT or analytics sectors. Alternatively I am open to perceive higher studies in MBA to specialize in the management sector.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

NOT AN IDEAL COLLEGE BUT DEFINITELY DESCENT

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is descent. Some of the student opt for higher studies. Almost 80% get placed with good packages.some goes for gate exam. I also know a senior who have gate AIR of 42. I am planning for gate along with my degree.companies like Hpcl , cpcl, exon mobil usually come here for recruiting.
