Course Curriculum Overview
I was an enthusiast for learning machinery and my favorite subjects were physics and math hence I opted for mechanical engineering. The Faculty-student ratio is approx 1:20. All the faculties are highly qualified (Mtech from NITs), and some are Ph.D. from IITs. We have two exams in a semester. First mid sem held by the college after two months of completion of the semester. Then gtu after 1 to 2 months of mid. The paper is usually moderate. The average student can easily score 7 spi.
Placement Experience
From 6 th semester, you are eligible for placement. Companies like Adani, reliance, jio, am/ns, and some German-based companies also visit the college. The highest package in mechanical engineering was 7.5 lakh per annum and 3.5 (avg).27 students got placed out of 60 students. My plan is to do MTech.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for all student is 1500 per year. For tfws student nil only we have to pay the exam fee. Mysy scholarship is also available for the top 20 percentile student. Placements in the non-IT sector are quite disappointing but our college provides 45 to 50% placement in our branch.
Campus Life
If you are a scholar, you will not like the environment of college. But the college organizes many programs like Anvesha ( tech fest), hackathons, cultural fest, and freshers also. We have a library which consists of all kinds of books. We have sports week which is organized by students and covers almost all sports, apart ncc, and nss are also available for students who are interested.
Admission
The admission process was completely online, for taking admission to a government engineering college in Gujarat, we have to give a gujcet entrance exam. The merit list (rank) is based on the board (50%)and gujcet(50%) both. There are a total of three rounds of admission. The application form is available on the acpc website, I am a tfws student means I don't have to pay any fee, if your rank is high you can avail of this scholarship. The admission process is very easy and efficient.
