What Students Say
Likes
- It's good city, and well connected to the major cities around. With low fees this college is good
- The city got everything what other modern developed cities have, but here you get everything in radius of 5 kms, unlike Ahmedabad, surat or maharashtra.
Dislikes
- No campus life, although there is basketball court too, no students play there
Course Curriculum Overview
I wasn't able to get CSE so the option I had was the branch with some specialization but to be honest, CSD is better, students of this branch are more active, I can say this on the basis of my batch. The professors are good enough. Almost all have completed their Ph.D., and have good knowledge too. At times you may feel they don't know to teach, or you feel the lecture is boring, but that will remain in all colleges, even IITs. No college students depend only on the college, one has to learn on its own.
Internships Opportunities
Companies like Infosys, TCS, L&T, Mahindra Tech, Exxat, Rest Data Systems, etc. visit the campus. The highest package is around 10.5 LPA and the lowest is around 3 LPA. Average varies from 6-5 LPA. Around 80% of the batch gets placement, and many don't sit for Placements as they want to pursue master's, mainly in foreign universities.
Placement Experience
College placements are average, but I didn't choose a college based on that. As I'm not interested in placements and want to proceed with further studies out there in good colleges in India or maybe in foreign.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are minimal, like just 1.2 LPA. I don't know about the hostel as I've not chosen to stay there. Scholarships are available to a few female students by the alumni of the college, but that's when you complete your graduation from this college and get into some good company in placements or universities for further studies.
Campus Life
Some sports events are conducted in the nearby public ground which is actually bigger than the college campus. The library is good for the books available (only study-related books) but don't read there in Library, issue the book and get into your room. There are many clubs in college, you'll surely find out about them when you enter here.
Admission
I got direct admission on a JEE-based quota (5% seats). Admission is difficult, but easy if you score well in GUJCET and get college through the ACPC committee. You need 95+ in acpc merit to get CS in this college. Admission can be done directly by visiting the college just after your results come, as few seats are filled by the college management itself.
