Remarks

College is of average quality with no expectation of jobs and teachers are few in number and not cooperative. And especially beware of the HOD i.e Ajay pradhan. He will demoralize you with every respect.

Entrance Preview

I took AIEEE exam and i got 300289 rank in that exam and after that I applied for counseling in odisha and in balasore I got 3 colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

The focus on the course is good but there is some point lacking that are teachers are not up to the mark. They are qualified but not as much as required. Faculties are always cooperative except the EEE branch. They are never going to cooperate with you.Every time you need help they will just ignore.

Internships Opportunities

No intership has been done but our college is trying to bring some of the companies in the month of november.Campusing is very few in number and student selection procedure is also poor as comparison to the other colleges.

Placement Experience

0.5

Job opportunities it totaly poor. You should expect local companies with 10k-15k income without further promotion. As it will only going to help you to gain some experience. You will find some local companies like parida powers etc. And there is no perfect ppt available to encourage you for the job opportunities. Last year only 30-40% students are placed and some of them are still struggling to get through it.

College Events

1.5

There are many college festivals just like ganesh puja , vishwakarma puja and nua khai etc.In our college every year we do annual sports and annual function but for the last two years we doing nothing due to the lack of money in our college funds. They are average not that big as you are expecting.Just like a normal programs with dancing and singing.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarship will be given to you from our college.Your state will provide you if you comes under the terms and condition category. Its very hard to say that but this college will ignore you during your hard times. They will force you to get the fees but they will never ever help you avail any kind of loans.Firstly they will promise you but after that they will forget.

Campus Life

0.5

College is having 5-6 labs total for EE,EEE,CSE,ME,CE,ECE.They are small with few numbers of intruments some of them are defective as well.No competition is there in our college.Boys are more here as compared to girls and forests everywhere you look.Campus life is good but not the teachers specially EE/EEE HOD.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

We have two hostel in our college and both are for boys in our college campus. The hostel seats are few but they are pretty good as compared to other colleges and the food provided by the college is also good. And it cost you around 50k per year.In hostels

Alumni/Alumna

College seniors are normal. They will take rags and everything and after 1 year they will become your friend as well.So the experience will be good. But beware of the fights between state and outstate students.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

From 7th sem the students became eligible for campus selection. Companies like Infosys, EVEREADY, ACC , ultratech and many more offering annual packages starting from 2lakhs to 8lakhs. Highest 8lakhs annual packages and average was like 3.5lakh to 4.5 lakh. Approximately 70 to 80 percentage of students are getting placements every year. After getting the degree i want to do a job in electrical companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because at first I was interested to automobile engineering but I didn't got it from other college so I preffered this mechanical engineering. It is a very though course as it seems. And there was 1:7 for faculty and student ratio. Faculties were highly qualified and some did PhD and m. Tech and other are fresher. The teaching skill differ person to person. The thermodynamics faculty was very excellent. In every year there was 2 semester and it is a little difficult. And before semester there was internal and viva.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Padmanava College of engineering is coming under Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT , odisha). As there is always a myth about private colleges that they help in cheating but from my experience padmanava College is strictly against cheating and rather it supports quality of education. If you are a hard working student you will pass the exam very easily.
