Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I choose this course to go in the bank sector. Some faculties are very supportive and some not. The qualification of the faculty is higher and their teaching experience is also good. The exams are held only at the end of the semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is good compared to the other colleges. The college provides many scholarship programs for students. There is no stipend given by the college and not a single company comes to the college. Job is not given by the company.

Campus Life

4

There is only one fest in the college in a year. The library is full of books and journals. The library is so silent. The college has a boiled ground where students play cricket and many other games. A social group is also run by the students.

Admission

The admission process is not so good. Eligibility of the course is 60% above marks. Students find the application form in the college library. Reservation benefit is also given by the college which includes the reduction of the fees.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The B.com is not a very comprehensive and complex degree to complete for someone who wants to pursue his/her career in finance. It can be referred as an initial start or push start for one's finance journey over the years. Also the relevance of B.com in real world is gradually decreasing day by day.

Placement Experience:

From semester 5, you become eligible for final placement and semester 3 for internship placement. many companies like Nykaa, Myntra, Duetsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, Deloitte, Zomato, Beerbiceps and more have visited. the highest package in history is 38 lakh per annum. The average is 8-9 lakh per annum. Around 70% of students get the college placement. My plan is to start my own business after college. I am although doing internships through college. Already done one in Beerbiceps and one in chorus call.

Placements in my college are decent but not very high. students usually become eligible from the final year and few companies visit for roles like accounting assistant, sales, customer service. The average package is usually around Rs.2LPA-Rs.3LPA.

Due to NEP the course has been more developed to the students and teachers also explain the topocs to us very clearly and the thing should be change that the timing of the paper are at morning time which is at 7:30am it should be 10 or 10:30 because this time the students get late to the paper and didnt get time to prep.

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of the key aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the B.Com course at Sydenham College was its strong foundation in core commerce subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Business Law, and Finance. The structured progression from basic to advanced concepts, along with exposure to subjects like taxation and auditing, made the program particularly appealing for students aiming for careers in finance, CA, CS, or management.
