Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose this course so as to get the degree for my name, I'm a CA student and thought this might help me initially. There are a lot of students in the college but divided into departments. Faculty is also qualified but the teaching style varies. Some are appreciated while some are not. Exams were not held in time for the first three semesters, they were way too early, we were given 3 months to finish one semester, and from the 4th sem, exams are being properly held. They were of moderate difficulty.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are very nominal since it is a government college. For admission, it cost me around 3000 only. No other charges and for readmission in the second year it cost 2282. That's it. It's very pocket friendly.

Campus Life

2

In the library you can find a lot of books, you can also borrow them, just keep them in due care. For our college studies, we mostly borrow books from the college library, but it is likely to find only old editions of a book for some subjects which causes trouble. Infrastructure is good but can develop WAY more. It has lifts, but all the lifts don't work. Classrooms are not air-conditioned which makes it really hard during Summer. It conducts sports and extracurricular activities too but not any fests(been two years studying here, and no fests).

Hostel Facilities

3.5

In a room you get 4 beds, 4 tables and 4 chairs. Rooms are spacious. The hostel is not at all suffocating. It has open room in the middle and rooms across the perimeter. The washrooms are cleaned daily. Also there is 1 fan in a room and 3 shelves (each having 3 sections). One room has upto 3 students. Menu is decided by students and can be changed. Fees come according to that. Fooding charges vary. Hostel rent charges are free. Quality of food is good, questionable a few times though (rare).

Admission

Eligibility is 12th pass from any board. A common application form is released by the government which candidates are required to fill and through that they can apply in any government college and for any course available there. It cost me 1000. Then based on the cut off a list is published that features the candidates eligible for admission. There's also second selection and spot admission. Cut off during my admission was around 93%.

Placement Experience:

In our college, final-year students are eligile for campus placements. While i don't recall the specific companies that visited, one of my friends interviewed with Axis Bank and got selected with a package of around 2.4 lakh. The exact percentage of students are placed and details of average or highest packages are unclear to me, but the placements process provides opportunities of those actively seeking jobs. After completing my degree, I plan to pursue an independent career rather that seeking a traditioinal job placement.
