Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is excellent and the faculty members are always helpful and they are always available at any time for guidance. The curriculum follows the latest methodology in teaching and offers us internship which gives us real-life experience.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 145000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The number of opportunities we got through an internship as I got a chance to teach in a rural school was a eye opening for it. The internship experience was very good as I got numerous chances as I was a leader in my group who handles all the responsibilities.

Placement Experience

The placement process starts after the 3rd semester which is around Nov-Dec. The process is very smooth and always our faculty members are always there to help us and guide us. The faculty members also guided us on how to give excellent interviews.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are a little bit higher than other colleges but it is worth the money as I got placed in a very esteemed organisation. The college also provides financial support to the students who are really in need of it.

Campus Life

It is the best part of somaiya as we used to celebrate each and every festival and we also have a fair that takes us to the learning by doing concept which gives real-life experience to that concept.

Admission

Somaiya has their own entrance exam called PERA CET. The process was very smooth as after a month the result was declared and the college took an interview. Then I got an offer letter and I was selected.

Likes

The University has good infrastructure and play grounds , also gym area and lot of greenary.
Well equipped classes and very efficient teachers . AC Central library along with department library is also available .
Hostel : 6 boys hostel and 2 girl hostel. Best hostel so far , various facilities available, you can also cook food .

Dislikes

No placement, however some courses offer internship.
Lots of politics and political affiliation, but no clashes so far .
University provides language courses only , and medium is Hindi.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Bachelor of education (B.ed) is a professional couse and hence I pursued this couse as I want govt job . Teachers are very helpful and internship was easy , we completed our internship at ease . They sent us to local schools which have less to no facilities,some school lack basic amenities such as bathroom and water . Even some schools have 10-20 student. All the schools are marathi medium , I was allotted rashtra saint tukdoji vidyalaya and sushil himmatsinghka vidyalaya, both are top school of wardha but the distance is too much.

They are scheduled the exams late sometimes which is not good for students because after that we don't have time to study like they give us the time of 1 month to study for semister exam and before the month is the internal exam that's why we didn't get the time for study for the semester exam

Likes

The faculty members are really supporting, they help me and my colleagues throughout the B.Ed course.
Teachers treat us with patient and kindness. Teachers guiders specially in the initial phase where they let you know about micro teaching.
Internship programs are also conducted by the college which helps student teacher to grow in the field without any fear.

Dislikes

There is no proper construction building, we sometimes have to go to godhani for final practicals and for regular classes have to come to Sadar
Scholarship or free ships are not regular, they delay.
All the medium students sit together and the mean of teaching is mostly in Hindi, which is little difficult for English medium student to understand

Course Curriculum Overview:

All the fourth semester subject are not so connected in different semesters we learn different subject ,I personally think that improvement in the course curriculum and teaching method should be improve and their should be a connectivity or a fluency in the course. But all the subject a very important because each connect us to the overall development of student in every aspects.

B.Ed entrance exam 62% for the women's i thnk its best career , as i already worked with icici bank its a stressful job , In teaching job it is more reliable, time consuming more relevant job for ladies. So i switch to this job.
