Course Curriculum Overview :
Practical and Field Training takes place. Laboratory work and practical sessions related to various subjects, Field visits to aquaculture farms, fish processing units, fishery research institutes, and coastal areas Research Projects are typically undertaken during the final year, where students conduct a research project related to fisheries science under the guidance of a faculty member. Faculty members are all Ph.D. graduates with high experience.
Internships Opportunities :
Processing companies and culture plants are offering internships. Project managers in companies assistants, project managers, and inspectors in production lines are the roles offered in internship opportunities. We can also go on an internship in private hatcheries and cultural ponds.
Placement Experience :
In the last semester placement programs can be utilized by the students. So many processing companies are looking for students from Kufos, The average salary package is about 4 lakhs. About 80%of the students got placement. I am looking for further studies.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure is semester wise .one semester fee for studying is approximately 8000 Indian rupees. Various scholarships like icar scholarship for students from other states, merit scholarship, scholarship for children of fishermen, E Grantz, etc. are available. Scholarships for economically backward students are also available. From my personal experience in this university students don't face any difficulties in fee structure due to good scholarship opportunities. Campus placements are available with an annual salary of 3 lakhs initially. I got an E Grantz scholarship with 600 rupees per month.
Campus Life :
The library is wast and has 10000 books with centralized Air conditioning. They also have ebooks. The college conducts programs every month like college day arts day University arts day, students union day, MH Day, LH Day, batch day, etc. It has a large college ground with a synthetic track and has a 50 meters long indoor swimming pool.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel is superb as it gives 3 member rooms for the inmates and the mess is available 24 ×7. It has a bathroom attached and a playground attached to the hostel. An indoor badminton court is also available. Registration for a hostel is done with the admission procedure. It is located approximately 100 meters from the college building. Easy to travel. Seperate hostel for men and ladies.
Admission :
You can get admission through KEAM (Kerala Engineering and Medical) entrance exam or the ICAR AIEEA UG exam. The eligibility criteria for admission is to pass the cut-off marks of the keam or icar exams. For the keam exam, you have to visit the keam portal to apply for the exam and have to be on the rank list. keam exam takes the marks of the NEET exam. If you have above a mark of 500, you can get admission to this college. Admission is simple as you have to upload your mark of keam registration site. Reservation benefits include low cut-off marks.
