Course Curriculum Overview
Psychology has been my major field of interest and the reason for my choice. For each honours, there are 60 seats available and for the pass course, the number is 600. So every honours class has 60 students; in psychology, we had practicals as well. So for the theory we had 1 guest faculty and for practicals, we had 1 guest faculty and 1 local. Each teacher had attained PhD in the field. The teaching method differs among teachers. Our guest faculty wasn't that strong and the practical teacher did not attend a single class, but the local teacher was very helpful and fulfilling in her role and even helped us out with the theory portion. We have a single set of exams, the finals which take place at the session end. The papers weren't the difficult type, all the questions in the paper were from the syllabus and the questions are direct in terms. So if one studies thoroughly, the paper is deemed easy.
Fees and Financial Aid
Honestly, the fees criteria aren't that high or over the 'margin'. So I did not opt for any scholarships as such but the college provides a handful of them which proves to be helpful. It even has a scooty yojna in which free scooties are given to students who fulfil the necessary and required criteria. The list of scholarships and their dates are provided on the official website itself.
Campus Life
The annual fest 'Veethika' is held in great spirits every year between the months of January- February. It is one of the largest events among others in Jaipur. The library has all sorts of books, for every subject and novels of mostly every genre. Some of which may have gotten old with the passing years, it has a large sitting area with an adequate amount of tables and chairs. The classrooms are neutral, practical labs have all the required items present, and BCA labs include ACs and well-equipped working computers. BBA classrooms are well maintained with comfortable seating. The college has 9 cultural societies- NARTANA [dance], NAAD [music], RANGSHEELA [drama], ASTHETE [fine arts], ECLECTICS [english], TEHREER [hindi], OHSNAP [photography], CYBERNETICS [IT], MODA AYE [fashion]. The different sports teams practice hard every year and bring home some astonishing wins. Exhibitions, freshers, farewell and other events are held around the year. We also have organisations like NCC and NSS.
Admission
The admission is solely merit-based. The necessary details including the application form and fees are available on the college's official website. As such, no reservations are made; but the cut-off percentage differs among different categories. The general category has the highest percentage criteria. The college does provide any ready information or help, so if you need any extra details or dates, you might have to visit the campus, they do not provide help over calls.
