Remarks

College is good but needs to change and develop a lot to meet the current standards of studies and research.

Entrance Preview

UPSEEE, I got a decent rank and I wanted to study in my hometown so I selected this college. I gave the counselling interview and got the admission. I just passed my Btech in Computer Science from this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course curriculum was a bit lengthy and had few extra non technical subjects like Industrial Management, Industrial Psychology etc. along with the core Computer Science subjects. Practical Learning which included lab sessions was given importance. Sessions on Ethical Hacking and personality development were also conducted. Electives were chosen by the department and all students had to study the same.

Internships Opportunities

No, but I found one for myself as Android Developer in Mobifly, Gurugram with no stipend. The experience was good and I got to learn a lot.

Placement Experience

2

Not so good. Around 60% but the companies which came for recruitments were not good. The average package offered was around 1.8 lac.

College Events

3

Rituraj, Aarambh, Techno-Cultural fest, State Level Sports meet were some events organised at my college. They were average level events with a gathering of 2k people. The organization was good and the college authorities contributed well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee was affordable as it was compensated by the state government scholarship . 84,500 (approx) was the fee per year.

Fees and Financial Aid

State Government Scholarship is the most prominent financial help a student can get. College though helps in getting them.

Campus Life

3

Rarely. I don't remember any.

Hostel Facilities

2

No. Hostel was average with facilities and food. No PGs. Around 40k was the hostel fee.

Alumni/Alumna

No alumni meet. My batch was second batch to pass out so we had only one batch of seniors whom we had met in college itself.

Exam Structure

Exams including monthly sessionals and semi annual semesters were hectic as they kept us busy in studies throughout the year.

Faculty

3.5

Most of the faculties were well learned which included M.Tech and Phd holders. They were interactive and dedicated. The standard of teaching was decent.

The placements of GCET are considered average to above average for a private college. The average usually looms around 5LPA. The highest CTC offered this year was 39 LPA by Autodesk. Around 70-80 percent students are placed every year.
