Remarks

good remark is its good quality education and knowing the students feeling. Lastly i want to say that our college has a good environment and good remarkable quality college.Its a good chance to get interacted with the new friends in my college.all the teachers are good enough and the environment is a amazingly good.around the college is full of natural beauties and fresh air fresh water and even the fresh peoples with good manner.its amazingly good.

yes i wrote the IIT JEE examination conducted over All India.I got the good News of the college from some of my friends and i contacted with the teachers of the college.So i told them my JEE exam result and they allowed me to get chance to study there. Yes there was an interview for me.I still remember that. I choose my course according to my wish and my favorite subject.

My course is quite good for me and very interesting. Its totally focus on the practical.around 70%is practical. Yes i did some of the projects and researches taken by college. There are many elective options for my course namely regular training and workshops.

Our college dint give the internship but college provides the free training for the students.

Placement Scenario is a challenge for our college because of the long distance from the city.I will say its not good. about 30% students got the placement. Mostly DELL HCL PNB and Local companies visited our college. And the package is around 20000 starting.

Our college organizes the engineering day celebration in according with the technical events such as group discussion,quiz competition,debate etc. And every year Our annual function in association with the fest is organized. its a big event at all.even some of the singers of Punjab came and fulfill the dream of students.The contribution is great.

Its hard for me to afford the fee because i have a poor family the fee structure is 20000 per semester as tuition fee and 15000 per semester for hostel.

Yes college provides scholarships to the students under sc/st/obc category. namely post metric scholarship and excellent scholarship for talented students.

Campus Life

wow our college organized many extra curriculum activities like sports meet,football tournament and drama course.Yes i got many opportunities like drama and football. i got the same facilities.

Hostel Facilities

Yes i am residing in Hostel.Most of the hostel rooms are double beds. I paid 15000 per semester. The food is somehow not good actually.

About exam Our college regularly conduct every month as monthly test.Its a chill culture actually.

Faculties are well experienced and good.Some of them are even research scientist and all are completed there study not less than M tech. They are quite interactive and interesting. The standard of the teaching is ridiculous and good.every week workshops seminars are held in the conference hall and even special teachers from other college and ISRO are called upon for the welfare of the students with good interactions.the practical are regularly done with 100% full focus on knowledge and skills.

class size can be large , it helps every child to interact

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
