Best institution to build a management career

IPE is a good place for any student who wants to build a career in management. With a strong faculty and equally strong course curriculum, IPE helps one build his/her career. The Institute of Public Enterprise provides an individual scope and a platform to build upon his strengths and achieve greatness.

I had appeared for CAT and scored 80.06 percentile. I opted for IPE as it has a strong faculty with an aim of helping the students reach their highest potential. Infrastructure at IPE is one of the best in the country with a very well stocked library.

The course curriculum is well thought of and planned according to the market requirements. The first year curriculum of PGDM covers the basics of all the specialties offered in the second year giving the students an opportunity to choose what suits them best.

The college provides internship opportunities to all its students. The stipend may differ from company to company depending upon what the job profile entails. Companies like Deloitte visit the campus every year.

The placements are good at IPE. Being in first year I'm not sure of the pay packages, but the institute boasts of fully placing all students. For my current seniors, companies like Deloitte, Amazon, Federal Bank and many more have visited the campus.

There is an annual fest at IPE which is conducted for two to three days. Many colleges are invited and both cultural as well as management activities are carried out. Apart from this, regular quizzes, debates and cultural activities are also conducted int the institute. Sports events are also given equal importance at IPE.

The fee structure at IPE is very feasible. It costs about 8.15 Lakhs for the two year PGDM program. Hostel fees are 1 Lakh for double occupancy and 1.42 Lakhs for single occupancy for one year (including messing charges). For day scholars bus facilities are available at a price of 30,000 per annum.

The college guides the students in availing loans from various banks, some who give the loan on lesser interest rates to the students of IPE. Scholarships are awarded based on the merit and score of the student in the entrance exams. I have availed a loan of Rps. 100000 from the college.

Campus life in IPE is very well balanced. There is unity in diversity at IPE. Students from all across the country are welcomed at IPE and all live as a family. There are no biases based on gender or religion at IPE. Everyone is given an equal chance.

The hostels at IPE are incomparable. Fully furnished rooms with central AC and attached bathrooms. the rooms are either single occupancy or double occupancy. The mess food is healthy and hygienic. A canteen is also available for students who want to enjoy rich food once in a while.

The seniors at IPE are very helpful and guide you in any way possible. They encourage the juniors to take part in all activities with them and help them to achieve their best.

The exam structure is divided into two sections, internal and external. For a three credit course, the internal is of 30 marks and the external of 30. The internal consists of 15 marks for mid-term examinations and 15 is awarded by the teachers based on assignments and involvement in class. A viva is also conducted at the end of each trimester.

I filled the online admission form soon after my CAT results were out. I received a call for group discussion and personal interview which was held in the month of February. The selection list was released soon after and went to the campus to pay the fees and collect all required documents.

The faculty at IPE is one of the best. Not only are they highly qualified, but they are very friendly and approachable as well. They have made sure to keep themselves constantly updated on the market conditions and adapted to teaching what is needed for a budding manager.
