Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose this course since my interest was in pharmaceutical chemistry and basic anatomy. Faculty-student ratio is good. The faculty is divided into the professor, associate professor, assistant professor, teaching fellow, and lab staff. The minimum qualification of the faculty is master's degree and a maximum number of post doctorate. For each subject, you have 2-3 internal assessments and 1 semester university exam. The internal semester can be written, objective, seminar ppt, viva voice, assignments, etc. The exam level is difficult but it can be easily cleared with minimum preparation. Revision of internal assessment and basic concepts is more than enough.

Internships Opportunities

5

Through campus drive, only the IT sector will recruit interns. In the Pharma course, we have to search for internships. As a class, we went to Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Goa. (1 day) I did my internship at Sun Pharma and Pharmafabrikon. ( Each company 1 month) I did my UG project in Steril gene life sciences Puducherry (3 months)

Placement Experience

4

The campus placement for the pharmaceutical technology courses is for 1 or 2 companies only. But more companies related to IT, finance, and management will recruit. Packages in pharma companies are 2-4 LPA, Packages in IT vary from 3.3 LPA to 32 LPA, The average is 6-7 LPA, I got selected in the TCS package of 3.3 LPA. But the student can get placed through the internship and project. In the pharma field you got to put in the step and work for it, faculty will give you referrals.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The fee structure of each semester is 20,000 rupees and students with scholarships are 10,000 rupees. I'm not sure about the name of the scholarship company, but they do provide for sc/st students and financially struggling students.

Campus Life

4.5

In ACT the SAAS community conducts sampradaya (fresher function) and kalakrithi (cultural fest). Apart from these, there are many clubs like Rotaract, Illusion and Gundy Times, etc. And department students conduct technical symposiums every year. So you will be packed full of functions and cultures.

Admission

To get enrolled in ACT Anna University, you should have a minimum cutoff of 175 ( it varies every year with the respective course). The student must enroll through TNEA and three rounds of counseling happen.

Interview Experience

4.5

No interview was conducted. The student was selected purely on the basis of the 12th Mark and cutoff. During the enrollment time, we have been called on for document verification, course fee, and hostel fee payment completion.

There's a word outside about VIT that it has so many rules and regulations and they are enforced very strictly but it is not the case. The only thing that is important here is maintaining 75 percentage attendence and not indulge is smoking, drinking or drugs etc and everything will be fine
