What Students Say
Likes
- The campus of this college is eye catching as it is extremely huge. It is very attractive.
- The canteen serves the best food. They have food of almost every region.
- The hospital is quite too famous and there is a lot of exposure.
Dislikes
- The teaching staff. I found them to be very arrogant. The non-teaching staff is not co-operative at all.
- They do not provide stipend but expect to work continously. Few faculties won't even give a break for lunch or dinner. If stipend would be provided students would work with more interest.
- There are no placements. They won't even provide refference to any hospitals.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because it has a lot of scope abroad. In India, this course isn't valued much, but abroad it has a high pay scale. Anaesthesiologists definitely need anesthesia technicians during any surgery. If you are fascinated by Operation Theatres, Surgeries, etc, go for it. There were around 18 students in my batch. The total intake is 20 students per batch for the Anaesthesia faculty. The teaching staff includes Anaesthesiologists. They are working doctors who teach too. The teaching method can be improved as they just read the slides like in every college. The teaching method has to be improved. There were Internal Assessments every semester and Class tests every 15 days. It was quite difficult to pass, only 30-40% of the students pass.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee was 52,000 for semesters 1 and 2. From 3rd semester onwards, the fees were reduced to 51,000. The fees were not hiked and there are facilities for student loans. The cost to study is minimal. If you are not a locality, you can stay in a hostel, that doesn't cost much. The overall cost to study was not overpriced. Students from a few castes got scholarships and financial assistance. We did not get any scholarship from the college for merit. I too was a merit student but I didn't get any stipend or scholarship. There is no placement for this course. If you have influence in some other hospitals you can get in there immediately after the completion of the course. Since there is no stipend or placement, I would not recommend this college for anybody as there is a lot of struggling after the course to find jobs.
Campus Life
The campus of KLE University is really great. The greenery, the cafes, stalls, canteen, library, gym, swimming pool, badminton court, and other games area is just superb. It has the best campus in the whole city. You will find stores of Tea ToastCo, Swamy's, etc on the campus. The fresher's program, the parties, and the cultural fests are beyond amazing. There are many functions in colleges so be prepared for a lot of fun. The library is huge. It has a digital library too. There is a huge area for the library with a lot of greenery. You are going to love the library too. The classrooms are great. They are huge 200-500 seater classes, with good ventilation, space, greenery, and AC. There are many social groups and clubs. There is a General secretary and a team of Literature, culture, etc among the talented students. They conduct many activities and outings. Overall, it has the best campus with amazing activities.
Admission
The Eligibility for this course is passing 12th std with science stream. During my time, there was no entrance exam. We had direct admissions based on our merit{ 12th marks}. The management put up 3 lists of different days, which had the names of the selected candidates.
