Entrance Preview

NATA score 90 reason : good faculty group ... well Known faculties like Prof. Dalvi. were part of it.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

year one was good had hands on workshops and lots of new things used to happen since we were new to this field , same happened in year two , year 3 was a bit difficult and 3 year is also said to be a difficult year in as far as architecture is concerned year 4 was good and final year was a bit stressful.

Internships Opportunities

no there is no internship provided by college. since architectural colleges do not provide internships.

Placement Experience

0.5

placements are all based on the skills developed by the student from the college or by his own efforts. interns earn from nothing to up to 10000 pm it differs from firm to firm.

Fees and Financial Aid

for minorities, there are scholarship i have no idea about that since i had never applied

Campus Life

3.5

campus life is not that great since its a muslim college there were many rules college has a dress code there were events Architecture department does follow various cultural happenings and there farewells and ice breaking parties in which other departments are not welcome

Hostel Facilities

4.5

no hostel facilities canteen food is not bad, haven't fallen sick by eating canteen food anytime

Alumni/Alumna

always , but they won't approach the juniors its the juniors responsibility to approach the senior.

Admission

forms and details were out in the year 2011 filled the college form and got the admission since i was eligible later paid the fees and all set. the admin department was also good and kind. so had no difficulties as such. had to definitely visit college a few times but that was okay.

Faculty

4

some of the faculties are nice , qualification wise all are well qualified they all have the necessary qualifications for their post. As far as knowledge is concerned few of them are very practical and talk and teach to the point. visiting faculties are better than core faculties.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason i choose architecture because it fascinates me how a place can be developed into holistic place interests me . The curriculum has some good inputs but it doesn't make you industry ready extra efforts should be taken to learn advance softwares extra classes newer research etc discussion on advance technology becomes important in modern age how architecture is changing is not discussed

Course Curriculum Overview:

The frequency of exam is twice a semester and good enough. Guest lectures are good and helpful for the future preparation. There must be a change in teaching styles of the faculty and more site based experiments through the course for better understanding than only in class studies , the beauty of historical buldings made me wonder about this course

Placement Experience:

For architecure departments, usually there are no placements, but since this Institute is autonomous, they have startes conducting placements drive. Last year 10/12 students were placed in good firms all over banglore, pune, kolhapur. I plan on applying to different firms all over Maharashtra and would also hope to get placement via college since the packages that are offered are good. Placement percentage is anywhere between 12-15%. The highest package offered was around 5,40,000, average package for a architecture student would be-around 3lakhs.

Placement Experience:

There is no campus placement for architecture students. After completion of the degree, one can apply for jobs or opt for masters. Architects get an average starting salary of 20-25 thousand. The course is pretty expensive including college fees and printing prices. One can also open a private firm and earn enough money. There are very few open students getting placed. My plans after getting a degree are to apply for masters. For a teaching job, one must complete masters.
