Learn about industry while in college

I have taken MAT and scored 89.5% in MAT and based on the score and the best available colleges in Hyderabad, VJIM is one among the top. Its does not advertise like other B Schools but have the best infrastructure and resources to guide and mentor the students.

Very good course curriculum which is related and based on changing industry practices and needs. You have wide variety of electives to choose and have visiting faculty who gives a broad view on the subjects. You get both industry inputs and faculty inputs.

Yes internships are mandatory. Stipend depends on organisations that you choose. Not all organisations gives you a stipend and never think of stipend during internship. Concentrate on learning during internships rather than earning. Also don't think that college has to provide eveything. Start trying to getting internship based on your network. This will surely help you and of course faculty will help you. I am one example who got Internship in BHEL in operations after so many rounds of visiting the company and also with the help of faculty. Coz, BHEL does not provide internships in Operations, they provide only HR and Finance internships.

Very good. And please never expect top package placements when the industry os going through a rough phase. Even IIMs struggle to get top packages when industry is doing bad. Rather than waiting for a company of your choise, attend the company which is coming to the campus. Dontwait for the last minute, grab the opportunity ASAP.

There are many events. One such main event is Chrysalis where only students take care of everything for the event. You have thousands of students joining for other colleges to attend the Quiz and other programs of course you have prize money also. Students take care of all the budget and marketing aspects.

While I was studying it was feasible. And hostel facilities are very good and worth paying. I am not sure about the fee structure now. But of course year on year all the prices increases and also the fee. Student has to decide whether to join or not based on the fee structure and the placement packages. As you have loans to pay off its upvto student to decide.

Top rankers in each trimester will get a scholarship. I have not taken any loans but any bank will offer the loan once you show the offer letter from the college. I am not aware of current facilities but its not difficult to get a student loan.

Campus is very good located on the highway. You have all the required resources. Labs, library, playgrounds, indoor stadium of badminton, conference hall with 250+ seating capacity and very good classrooms. You have all kinds of competitions and you are free to initiate and nurture your ideas.

Of course the best. i have stayed in hostel for almost 8 years and my 2 year stay at VJIM is the best of all. You get a single room with Wi-fi/lan and the location of hostel is the best thing to speak. Very peaceful an calm area away from main road. Food is good. You get roti if you are from North India and you need not worry

You have a very good Alumni network and every year the college conducts Alumni meet so that you get an opportunity to meet everyone who attends. Also you have an online portal where you can meet your alumni. VJIM does all that is required to keep the Alumni intact.

Trimester system. You have 3 final exams in a educational year and in between you have small tests. All marks does not depend on exams. You have weightage for presentations, public speaking, team work and so many things. Exams marks only count to 50% of final marks. This is what a B schools like VJIM stands out.

After MAT test, you need to apply for the college for Group Discussion and Final interview. Earlier the GD happened to be in Hyderabad but now GD and personal interviews are being conducted in all Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities and so it is good and easy to apply for the college as you need not travel for the GD and pI. The dates will be mentioned in advance and you can prepare well.

Very god faculty with both industry and teaching experience. You have visiting faculty from IIMs and foreign universities who teach with different methodology and you will surely like it. Few visiting faculty conducts open book test which is interesting and at the same time challenging as you need to depend on your thinking while attending the test rather than go through the content in the books.
