Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I have chosen course B.A LLB(Hons) as I wanted to be a lawyer. The faculty-to-student ratio is good as there is a sufficient number of faculties provided for all streams and batches and for various optional papers. The teaching way of faculties is very interactive and understandable and we are provided with various practice assignments to enhance our knowledge. The faculties allotted to us are highly qualified and have specialization in their respective streams and their teaching method involves various creative assignments, tests, workshops, etc that help us for better understanding. During a semester there are mid-sem exams and end-sem exams comprising 15 marks and 50 marks respectively and were more than medium level and have some difficulty in passing.

Internships Opportunities

4

During my internship experience with the Rajasthan state legal Services authority, I was able to develop my interaction skills with various judges and advocates by seeing the groundwork of courtrooms and also informed many prisoners in jail about the right of getting a lawyer if they don’t have then else would provide them with government lawyer. I particularly found the structure of lok adalat that helps in the administration of justice to people.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is for 1st and 2nd sem- 84000 (scholarship is there based on 12th percentage) and a 5% increase for every year. If anyone tops in a class then there is a scholarship for him/her in fee of next year.

Campus Life

4.5

Life on campus is really good. The ambience is very quiet and has greenery around it. There are many cultural fests such as E-summit, Odyssey, and arch aluno. And sports fests such as Sangathan and Shaurya manthan in which all indoor and outdoor games are played. The library of my department is well equipped and all law-related books are available. Classrooms have a projector, whiteboard, podium for teachers and are equipped with an air conditioners. There are over 20+ clubs such as health and fitness club, football, dance, ramp walk, music, environment, horse riding and many more.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I have opted for a hostel. In the hostel room, there is accommodation for two people, there are ac as well as non-ac rooms. In the non-ac room, there are two fans, two tables, two Almira, two separate beds, two chairs, and two windows near the bed. There is a flat system in the hostel in a flat there is a common area, three rooms and a toilet and bathroom. The quality of meals is average and there is a decided menu to be followed and it changes frequently. For hostel accommodation one can apply on amazon, the student site.

Admission

There was no entrance exam at the time of my admission in 2020. And we can find the application form on their website. I took admitted in the year 2020 at that time there was no application fee(due to the lockdown the fee was waived). I belong to the OBC category and haven't availed of reservation benefits and there are no reservation benefits for the admission process.

From 9/10 semesters the students become eligible for placements. Students are given some attendance relief for like 4/6 months to do their internships in best places around India. Companies like IBM, INFOSYS, AMAZON , Tech mahindra are some which offers placement with average 4 lpa, highest being 25lpa. 60% is the placement rate in ba llb. My plan after getting the degree is trying for judiciary and preparing for llm and phd.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specifically the aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision was the legal knowledge and the awareness of one's legal rights. The curriculum prepares us for the journey of being a lawyer or an legal practitioner in a way that one can do very well in any field they choose. If i were to suggest the areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods that would be to hire better qualified teachers and compulsive 75% attendance for the students. The exams are held every six months along with mid semester exams in between and the difficulty level is not much if you are serious about your studies.
