Experience to Learn

Overall my college is a very recommendable and management is very encouraging and does not interfere much.

There was no entrance test for my college. I got admission based on my academic score with scholarship.

As this was an affiliated college to Bharathiyar University the curriculum was not that tough or rather very easy. Curriculum was structured on the current trend and requirement for the students so that they are intrend with the current market job requirement and they are ready material when they pass out of the college.

I am not sure if my college gives it now. But when I was in my college no internship was given. Scholarship was given to students.

Placement are good when compared to other institutes. Our college was the pioneers in bringing core companies for placement. i was placed with CITI BANK and had offer with another 3 companies. They give you option unlike nowadays One Company one student concept.

Yearly we have our Inter-college event which is called "REGALIA". This is a cultural event with more focus on fun activities. Before we start our Inter-college function we start inter-department activities. Which Include Sports and Cultural. Well this is where the competition is intense.

Fees structure is very Nominal and affordable by parents. SNMV CAS- does not take capitation and there is no management quota to collect extra fees from the students. Hostel Fees are very nominal with the best of facilities given to all students. Mess Fees is separate apart from semester and hostel fees.

They Provided Scholarship for students above 70% of marks in higher secondary. 30% scholarship was given to students with 70% - 80%. 50% scholarship was given to students with 80% - 90%. 80% scholarship was given to students with 90% - 100%.

Campus was multi culture where we had a mix of students from most of the parts of India. Gender ration was equal is should say. Most of them had a Girl Friend and did not poach into other. ;-). Sports facilities was good and college conducted State, National seminars frequently.

Hostel Facilities is best among other colleges. When other colleges was having bunker beds and 4 sharing in a small room, my hostel had only 2 sharing and for 10 people 3 toilets was allocated with 24 hours hot water, Drinking water. Mess food was good and they served only hygienic veg food which was unlimited quantity. Mess was flexible with the timing also.

Sure we are. We guide or to say we recommend this college to a lot of young people so that the experience that we went through is transferred to them and have a pleasant college life and career in the future.

Exams pattern was as per the university norms and my college was not in the mode to squeeze students with exams and test all the time. Infact we had a pre-semester(Which is more like a class room test - Internal Evaluation) then we had our semester exams. 6 Pappers per semester and in the final year we had project attached to it.

College conducted an carrier guidance at my school when I was completing my higher secondary school.They gave an overall perspective of how to shape a career based on our interest and the courses offered at SNMV CAS, it was interesting so I pre-registered myself with the course and hostel requirement. After the result I directly got admission into the college with hostel accommodation.

Faculty was very knowledgeable and passionate about teaching. They gave us freedom to think and act so that we are not boxed. Going out of the way was definitely appreciated and attention and encouragement was given to extra curricular activities. on many occasion staff enrolled us on behalf of the students for various seminars and cultural events so that none of the talent is left unseen.
