Remarks

There are students from every corner of India, thus there is a taste of every culture of India in Karpaga Vinayaga College of Engineering and Technology. Sports is given a huge importance. Everything here, for me, is good.

Entrance Preview

I took JEE and AIEEE. I Scored 1046 rank in category and got into KVCET. I took ME Branch. I had few other options but my parents send me in KVCET because this is one of the best college in Chennai.

Campus Life

The library books are all digitally coded with bars and computerized automated OPAC system. Constant addition of titles and volumes in all the fields of Engineering, Management, Basic Science and Humanities is the regular facet of our library. Every effort has been made to obtain all titles recommended by the college council.

Hostel Facilities

Utmost care is taken by the institute to ensure the quality of food and cleanliness. There are also multiple canteens in the college and some of them even operate over the night. There are also quite good number of restaurants around the institute.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Faculty

They are good enough to help the students understand the concepts of their course. They are also not too much involved in their job as that would be like spoon-feeding. This is the ideal way of teaching. They are so qualified in their job as they do things the right way.

Honest review

Likes

I liked course curriculum and one year outside project
I liked the peaceful library and bookss.
I liked facilities in the campus of karunya

Dislikes

Sunny days which brings sweat to your outfit
No AC classrooms which is a great disadvantage
Short period of lunch break which make us weak

Placement Experience:

Placement offers are better when compared to other colleges, i haven't gone for any placements because I'm first' year student, but most of the department have got the package of about 31 LPA and biotechnology have 100% placement

Likes

The lab facilities and the classroom facilities and the cultural days
They have a library with vast books and books can also be read through online in the library
They have bus facilities for students from different areas, nearly our college bus goes and pickup students from 3 districts

Dislikes

There is no proper guidance or teaching for post-graduation course
There is no placements with MNC's and they have placement with only small company with less pay
There we won't get knowledge, we have to study on our own and write our exams

Placement Experience:

For final year students placements are eligible. I didn't get the chance for placements in this college but some small startups visited this college for placements 2 students got placed in the company with 10000 monthly package

I am pursuing ME computer science and engineering course from AVCE.It is a two-year duration course with 4 specializations. Candidates who have completed BE or B.Tech in relevant discipline are eligible to join ME course. Admission to ME program is given on the basis of GATE/ TANCET scores. I got selected on the basis of my GATE score.

I wrote the VITMEE exam as I am taking admission for MTech and I got a rank of 1100, I should attend the counselling in Vellore campus I couldn't because of some issues then administrative people from Chennai called me and I got the seat in category 1.

Awesome Colledge!!

Remarks:

I did my B.E in a college in my own state of rank 11th in the state. But, i can say proudly that my M.E college was far better than that. I did visualize that the college gives every thing to students. Studies/Fun/Communications an they were up to the mark of IIT's, i guess.

Good but not great

I got a reserved seat in this college via TN Engineering Counselling. I've applied for many other colleges but this is the one I got. The admission process is very simple, If you're a reservation student, you can take the allotment paper and meet staffs at the admission cell and they will handle the rest.
