Course Curriculum Overview
The college follows course curriculum is made by the Anna University, though we all know it's outdated. But it got some basic fundamentals of the Computer Science Engineering which every CS Engineer should know. You can't and won't crack a job with just a CSE degree. We can't change the course curriculum but we can change the method of teaching them. By not only teaching the letters in the book, we can make students do their own projects with the knowledge they've learned in the class. As conclusion, Curriculum can't be changed, but the method of teaching them can.
Placement Experience
The campus placements are open to willing students after the 7th Semester. The average number of students placed per class is 4 and the average package is around 3,00,000 to 4,00,000. Companies coming for placement hiring are huge, but the number of students getting placed is drastically low.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course period for all four years is around 60,000 to 70,000. Each year, there will be additional fee for books (only for 1st Yr), placement support and another fee as 10,000 each. So the cost for a year would be around 80,000. And you must need to pay for the mess fee as lunch will be provided for you at the college mess, which is around 22,000 If you're deciding to opt hostel, the current fee for hostel is 83,000 which may change every year.
Campus Life
There will be events at every even semester. As the college is located within three other institutions, we can also be a audience in the event conducted by them. There are multiple clubs and activities that are held weekly. Each club performs its weekly-act on a day with a concept. The sport events are very well organized and the faculties support and encourages to participate in sports events
Hostel Facilities
Hostel ain't so good for what you pay. The rooms aren't well maintained, the foods isn't as near to good. The registration process is as simple as signing a document. The menus are changed not monthly but yearly. They provide non-veg for 4 days (limited).
Admission
I got a reserved seat in this college via TN Engineering Counselling. I've applied for many other colleges but this is the one I got. The admission process is very simple, If you're a reservation student, you can take the allotment paper and meet staffs at the admission cell and they will handle the rest. Same applies for management student except the allotment sheet.
Faculty
The faculties are quite knowledgeable in what they teach. There is no problem with the faculties, they were all friendly and very helpful not only in studies but in personal life too. The faculty-to-student ratio varies upon the department, but there are sufficient faculties present for every course. As the college is Non-Autonomous and affiliated to Anna University, The course syllabus ain't so questionable. Talking about exams, there will 3 exams, IAT-1, IAT-2 and Model Exam. Each exam portions may vary depending upon the completion of the course syllabus. Those marks will be reflected as your internals for the sem finals.
Night Life
You won't be allowed to go outside from hostel after 8 PM. There are only three places where you can hang out. Libraries are open until 5 PM. Gyms are open for 7 to 8 AM Morning and 4 to 7 PM Evening.
