Course Curriculum Overview
I chose BBA in banking and finance. This is a specialization combo that is hardly available in any good institutes. There are various certifications that you will be provided with without any extra fees. The faculty is also highly qualified with most possessing a doctoral degree. The faculty-student ratio is also good. The teaching methods of some of the faculties are impressive. End-term exams are held timely except during the Covid period.
Internships Opportunities
The college begins providing internship opportunities once you reach the third semester/ second year. The firms which provide internships to Prestige students are not so big. The internship stipend generally ranges from 4000 to 8000. Permanent job opportunities are provided from the fifth semester onwards. Several big institutions such as Bank of America, Career Launcher, ICICI bank, etc. come to the campus for placements.
Placement Experience
From the fifth (sometimes sixth) semester onwards, students become eligible for campus placements. Many big companies visit the campus for placements such as ICICI bank and others. The packages offered to graduate freshers from Prestige are slightly better than those offered to freshers of other institutes. Employability is also better for freshers from Prestige. A few students have also been placed abroad in countries like UAE.
Fees and Financial Aid
When I took admitted to the institute in 2020, the annual fee for BBA banking and finance was Rs. 1,51,000. No other extra fees or charges are applicable. I also got a merit-based scholarship of up to 70% waiver and it continued as per my semester results. Various other minority scholarships are also provided by the institute. The institute also provides internship opportunities on campus in the placement department with suitable compensation.
Campus Life
Prestige Institute is highly reputed for its social and cultural events. Manthan is the most sought-after event every year as it provides different leadership and volunteering opportunities to the students while enjoying the event. The college library also has vast collections of academic books and journals. Most of the classrooms are air-conditioned and spacious. The students have also formed various clubs like the Mark-ting club and others.
Admission
The admission process is very simple. My admission process was mostly completed online as I took admission during the Covid lockdown period. You just have to submit your documents and it will be done. The college also provides some reservation benefits like scholarships.
