Our college has Young management leaders, they try to implement something new to their students. The good thing to study in Mahendra is some kind staffs are there in our college, from them we can learn more apart from books. Again the bad remarks is also staffs, some inexperienced staffs are there in our college, Their way of teaching is quite bad.

I'm qualified in Tamil Nadu State Government's Higher Secondary Public exam with 974 marks out of 1200 and that is enough for attending counseling, no entrance examination is needed. I decided to get into any college which is in Salem region, because of my personal reason. I scored 158.4 cut off marks,I didn't get seats in better colleges, so I preferred this college.

Form Academic year 2017, Mahendra Engineering College acts as a Autonomous. But, while i'm passing out, we are under Anna University, Chennai syllabus and curriculum. It is common for all the colleges in Tamil Nadu, which are under Anna University, Chennai. About curriculum, at the end of final year, we understand basic about the engineering.

While I'm studying, under my own risk, with reference to my cousin who is working in JSW Steel Limited, Salem along with two of my friends, we gone for In-Plant Training to that company. Our college will support us by encouraging to do the same. But, now I came to know from my juniors that, our college itself arranging IPT's for students.

Soft Skills training's are given to us from external training academy, which helps us to learn more. Coming to placement side, only BPO's and some other low level IT companies are came. Some of my placed in various companies for a package of 2 lakhs to 3 lakhs.

Number of events are celebrated in our college. Some important fests are Mahendrafest, Technofest, Macro Miracles, Tesla' 16, etc... Out of this, Macro Miracles is inter college meet. Plenty of clubs are divided inside the college itself and there will be competition among these groups.

Fee structure of Mahendra Engineering College is reasonable in that particular region. I will say, it is feasible. The fee structure is Tuition - 40000 per year Books - 25000 Out of this, there is a 20000 fee wavier for first graduate students. I'm unaware about hostel fees. But, it costs around 1.5 lakhs per annum.

I'm availed scholarship from Government of Tamil Nadu through our college. Since, I belongs to BC category I got Rs. 3500 per year. But for SC students its around Rs.10000 per year. Our college also providing Educational loan facility by IDBI bank. Since, I not availed loan, so I'm unaware about more details.

There are four colleges in a single campus along with one Mahendra Next Wealth Company. Life inside the campus is quite good. There is no gender ratio and diversity in our college. Since, I'm mechanical engineer, I don't have much contact with girls, but I'm sure there is no diversity in our college. Extracurricular activities are good in our college. They arrange one relevant training in a month. They won't encourage for sports.

Our college has anti-ragging committee. In order to add value to that, our college has separate hostel facility for first year students, so that they are protected from ragging. Also there is a separate blocks for second year, third year and final year in a common wing. Coming to mess, there is a separate mess facility for north and south Indian students. Food served for them also varies accordingly. For days scholars, our college has a food court named Rhythm. In that, food quality is good with reasonable price and I'm dam sure no other college in the region have such good food court.

Senior students are always helpful to us. We are maintaining good relationship till now. They are helpful in sharing their knowledge, thoughts, behavior skills, etc...

There will be three internal tests for single semester. Based on the marks we scored in the internal tests, our Internal marks are given out of 20. This will help to increase our marks in semester exams. Also, there will be a model practical for all the labs, before we are going for semester practicals.

As you know, there is a counseling conducted by Anna University, Chennai for getting admission in Engineering colleges all over the state(Tamilnadu). I have applied for counseling and got a call letter, attended counseling and at last I got a seat in Mahendra Engineering College, Namakkal.

Faculty in our college is not well educated. Of course there are PhD completed staffs are also there, but overall the performance of all the staffs is not up to the level. Management tries to improve it, by recruiting some senior well knowledge staffs. May be, now the condition is differ.
