Remarks
HRIT basically is quite normal college. Do not expect much if you are entering this college.
Entrance Preview
I appeared for UPTU Exam. In that I got rank around 40000. So, that was not a good score. So,I lose hope of taking admission in top colleges of UPTU. But my friend took admission in this college . So, she convinced me to take admission with her. That's how I got into this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum was OK. There were labs and everything. UPTU syllabus is quite good . . I was never fond of computer languages. So, for me It was convenient to take Electronics and communication as trade. But It was tough if you compare it with Computer Science and IT. In addition to that, mostly I had to rely on self study only. As few teachers were not that supportive. I cleared exams because of self study only for few subjects. There was restriction on attendance that it has to be minimum 75%. So we had to attend college regularly. We could not skip that.
Internships Opportunities
Yes college provided internship in different trades. Like for Computer science they conducted some java and .net trainings. The training were without any stipend.
Placement Experience
Placements department was not the best of our college. There were no big companies invited for placements. Normal companies that too very few. We were dependent on pool campus completely. I also got job through pool campus only. So, not good in case of placements.
College Events
There used to be tech fest and cultural fest every year. In tech fest, many tech competitions were there for every branch. Students used to get prize money on winning. In cultural fest, college management used to invite celebrities and some small band. In my batch, once there was Neeraj Shreedhar and once Bappi Lehri. All students used to get opportunity to take part in competitions.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is like every other private college of UPTU. It will cost around 75000 per year for college fees and 60000 per year for hostel fees. So it was not feasible obviously for sure. And so many in between fees like training and all were there.
Fees and Financial Aid
I never took scholarships and loan as well. And I am not sure of both. But people who belong to SC/ST/OBC used to apply for scholarship and they used to get it as well.
Campus Life
Campus was good as it was a very big campus with space literally to sit. It was not suffocating. Gender ratios was as obvious 70:30(Boys:Girls). Students were from different part of India so there was diversity. Extracurricular activities were there if one shows interest. But not of high level. Mediocre competitions mostly.
Hostel Facilities
I was a day scholar so I don't know much about hostel. But my friends were there in hostel. Hostel was good. And mess food was also ok ok as per my friends. So overall it was neither the best nor the worst. It was ok. So one could spend 4 years there without any major problem.
Alumni/Alumna
There is no such network. I am not in contact with my seniors and with my batch mates as well for that matter. Alumni meet was not that happening that people will build contacts.
Exam Structure
There were internals and externals. Total of 3 sessional exams we had before final university exams. Sessional were held in college itself. External centers used to be some other college of UPTU. The process was chilled out only not hectic. Labs were also there. 4 times a week.
Admission
I appeared for counseling. In that i selected this college only with trade Electronics and communication. I got first choice in counselling. Then I got letter of allotment. Then for admission, I went to college, provided that letter and fees. Taking admission was simple process. I didn't roam here and there. There was dean administrator office. There one could find everything related to process.
Faculty
Faculty was average. Everyone used to work according to their comfort. But faculty was supportive. They should work on their behavior towards children. Few were quite rude and unprofessional. They were unprofessional in a way that they used to show their anger and frustration towards students in giving internal marks.
