Remarks

I had a joyful 2 years at IIBS. The kind of bonding with my friends and faculty made it so unique. I hope the future aspirants too would experience the same warmth during their stay at IIBS.

Entrance Preview

I had appeared for MAT exam, and had a score of in excess of 600. That was quite a good score for my entry to IIBS. The admission process was normal with two rounds: one for aptitude test and the other for interview.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Being a university recognized MBA, IIBS followed AICTE-prescribed syllabus. The specialization is introduced from second year, when we could choose from Finance, Marketing, Operations, BFSI, HRM specializations. The syllabus was comprehensive, covering entire concepts of business management.

Internships Opportunities

We had plenty of internship opportunities. Some 20 odd companies came forward to accommodate us in internship training. Many of us accepted it. I did a stint at Manpower in HR process. It was such a learning experience.

Placement Experience

3.5

Majority of us got placed through campus interviews. Only a few had to appear for company interviews. Companies like Deloitte, Oracle, HP, P&G, ITC, Coca Cola, ICICI Bank, ICICI Securities, Axis Bank, Indusind Bank, HDFC Bank, came for campus selection. Salary offers too were handsome, ranging from 4 lakhs to 25 lakhs

College Events

4.5

The management encouraged us to conduct different events. Whether it was sports or cultural festivals, management always stood by us. Student forum arranged some important management events, inviting other B-Schools to participate. We also took part in other colleges’ events and won prizes. Our own cultural event, SURFACE was even more spectacular.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is reasonable, and it is value for money. The college provides ample library access, best learning facilities, exposure through international tour and industrial trips. All these included, I found the fees of around 8 lakhs justified.

Fees and Financial Aid

IIBS does not have a policy of funding students’ educational needs through loans. Students have to arrange on their own. In future, one feels this may be looked into by the management.

Campus Life

4

Campus life at IIBS was thoroughly enjoyable. It was learning with a sense of purpose. With so many good friends around, I could hardly know how the time went by. It was one of the best years of academic life. I would surely recommend IIBS to my juniors.

Hostel Facilities

4

There were limited seats inside the hostel. So the accommodation was provided on first-come first-serve basis. Because of IIBS location in prominent location, private accommodation too was available nearby. Food inside the hostel as well as nearby was good.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni at IIBS are exceptional in the way they came to their juniors’ assistance when needed. They somehow manage dtheir busy schedule to pass on useful tips to us. The annual alumni meet was a great platform to strengthen & bond with our seniors.

Exam Structure

Exams were conducted every 6 months as is the case in most of the semester-scheme management studies. There was emphasis on quality with question being set on practical aspects of management. It was hectic but it helped us to be busy with our studies.

Admission

Candidates can apply online www.iibsonline.com For online application submission candidates need to pay Rs.1050/- either through net banking / credit / debit card or Demand Draft. Goup Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI), Work Experience & Academic Perpormance.

Faculty

5

Our faculty had a sound knowledge of subjects they dealt with. Their experience in practical aspects of management was unquestionable. Our Dean had more than 20 years of industry and teaching experience. With such faculty around, we never felt the need for additional guidance.

Placement is pretty decent with an average of nearly 15 lakh per annum CTC, and it's an increase of 10 percent over last year. The highest package was 24 lakhs and the median of around 15 lakhs. Of course, ROI is always a question mark but brand SIBM helps in overcoming it.
