College life at SRTR GMC Ambajogai

Eligibility for the MBBS course is that you should qualify NEET UG exam. There are two different types of application forms for the admission process one is for state quota seats and the other is for all India quota seats. Both application forms are online on respective government websites. Seat allotment is according to seats available for a particular caste and the remaining seats for open-category students. Caste-based reservation is applied. The admission process is online and well coordinated.

I opted for this course because it is my dream to become a good doctor. In our institute, there are 150 students in each batch. The number of teachers available in all departments is different but available in good numbers so the student-teacher ratio is good. Faculty members are well qualified. They have completed their post-graduation (MD/MS) in the subjects which they teach. The teaching method is very good and innovative, it includes various activities like self-directed learning. The University exam, of course, is once a year but you have to face various internal exams throughout the year.

Fees for our institute are much more affordable in comparison to other medical colleges, especially in comparison with private medical colleges. There are various scholarships of the state government available according to which caste you belong. Amount scholarships vary for different caste students.

There are multiple fests organized by the student association of the institute which include events like annual gatherings and GMP (Ganpati Mahotsav Parv). The annual gathering is arranged after the completion of university exams but every year timing change according to the exam of all batches considered. For books, there is a central library where all medical books and journals are available for all medical students of our institute. Classrooms are well equipped with projectors, computers, and other electronic devices which are required in teaching. For sports there is a big ground to play cricket, there is a volleyball court, table tennis and other sports facilities available. In our institute, there is one group of students known as Shiksha. They give coaching to the poor students in the city for preparation for the neet ug exam.
