Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

We here in jnmc belagavi study MBBS for 4 and a half year and plus one year internship in the KLE hospital. We have daily clinical postings along with morning class of final professional year. We also have sessional examination every two months. The schedule is quite hectic. There is 75% criteria for attendance failing in which we are bound to repeat 6 months and complete the attendance.

Our college being a medical college, so there is no place for placements as it happens in engineering colleges. However people do give pg entrances exams and have got post graduate seats in chandigarh, delhi, rajasthan and many more. In addition to several college fests conducted in college we have a grand inter college fest called trinity every two years it includes performances in the fields of music, art, dance, literary and many others... Also it features celebrity guests like shankar mahadevan, farhan akhtar and many more... The honourable PM of india has visited the college twice itself!

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure for MBBS increase every year the students of 2015 batch are paying around 6 lakhs per annum excluding the hostel fees. The present fees is around 8.8 lakhs which is bound to increase for the next batch of students. Being a private institution charging the much fees is obvious and that too for proving an MBBS degree

Fees and Financial Aid

There are no such facility available for loan as of now. However there are scholarships given every year to students of each professional year for exceptional performance in studies.

Campus Life

4

The gender ratio is very much maintained to near one. We have almost equal number of boys and girls in a batch. Regardless of the fact that people from all over india study here there is good harmony among students despite of cultural differences. The college provides an olympic size swimming pool and a athletic track which is well maintained.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel provides double sharing rooms with and without attached bathrooms. The common bathrooms gets cleaned everyday. The average rentals varies from Rs 2000-4000 a month depending on the type of room chosen. The hostel mess provides decent food. Obviously it doesn't stand anywhere near the home food.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are very helpful to their juniors. There is a no ragging policy in the hostels. When requested they even lend their vehicles, books etc to the juniors.

Exam Structure

The classes schedule is quite hectic standing from 8 in the morning till 5 pm in the evening. One hour lunch break is provided from 1-2 pm..... We have exams schedules every two months. The exams include objective and subjective questions which test the theory of the students. Folling the theory exams we have our practical exams.

The admision process was through counselling in a hall. All the candidates and there parents were called and made to sit an an auditorium. The screen showed the names of eligible candidates with their respective ranks. Candidates were called one by one according to their ranks and seats were alloted after interviews with the board of professors.
