Remarks

The admission process was the online submission of the form and then the lists were announced for the selected students based on their percentage. The reservations are for SC/ST, NCC cadets, and the Hyderabad-Karnataka region belonging to students. The admission is hassle-free and it will be done smoothly without any problems within a day. The fees have to be paid to the bank physically.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose Bachelor's in Biotechnology as I want to pursue my specialization either in Medical Biotechnology or Forensic Biotechnology. The faculty is sufficient to carry out classes for all the combinations and the members are experienced. Most of the faculty members have experience in teaching for almost 25+ years and there are new lecturers who are still joining the faculty and are helping a lot to the students. The exams take place after 3-4 months of teaching with internal assessments every 1½ months. The exams were carried out strictly with frequent rounds by the squad members and whoever was caught doing any kind of malpractice was debarred for 3 years with a fine. The invigilation was quite strict.

Internships Opportunities

4

I'm currently in my 5th semester and the placements, and internships are for 6th-semester students. So I'm not sure and I've no idea of that. I shall update my review once I get to know about that for sure.

Placement Experience

3.5

The students of the final semester are eligible for campus placements. Companies like Wipro, Infosys, Omega Healthcare, Biocon, Cognizant, TCS, Accenture, Magic Bus, Intelizign, Patanjali Health Institute, etc. The highest package my seniors were offered was around 15L/year and the average was 8L/year. Almost 60-80% of students got the campus placements. I want to get my master's degree completed and then try for Ph.D. and get into the research field.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are quite affordable as it's a government college. The fees for the physical sciences are a little excessive compared to life sciences. The fees have to be paid by visiting the bank. Minority scholarships by the government, scholarships for SC/ST students, and other scholarships are provided to help students in need. I haven't yet completed my course yet, so I haven't gotten any job from the institution, but the seniors got a placement with a package of 15L/year.

Campus Life

4

The sports are conducted once per year. The cultural fest is carried out once a year in the month of August. Freshers day, cultural day, ethnic day, national day, etc are also carried out at the beginning of the course. The college has a well-maintained library with qualified faculty which aids in the smooth functioning of the library. National and international Journals, magazines, books for competitive exams, etc are also provided to those who are interested and the students can even borrow course books for 2 months which can be renewed after the time given by showing the library card. The classrooms are provided with projectors, fans, lights, well-maintained desks and benches, and a proper infrastructure for the comfort of the students. The college has NCC -army, navy, and airforce, NSS, Red Cross, Raman Club, etc which are carried out every week. And many campaigns for awareness are carried out collectively by these organizations.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible from the 5th semester. The university also conducts placement drives and skill development workshops. Out of the various companies, some of the reputed ones include Goldman Sachs, KPMG, EY, Deloitte, De Shaw, etc. The average package is around 7 to 8 lakhs but 60% students opt out from placements for further education. I plan to study a master's degree in business economics after my undergraduate studies.

There is no such thing as placements for now (in 1st year here) but in our second year, we have placement support here. We have compulsory internship at our Second year. We only have 2 batches, 1st Year and 2nd Year. But for now, among our seniors 60% of them hold internships and others are either building something or scaling their skills. For now, we don't have any placement records but according to scaler academy, it will be aroung 24 Lakhs.
