Remarks

The eligibility for this course is to get admission is 12th + PCM. You have to give an entrance exam called PET to get admission to an engineering collage in Chhattisgarh. You can fill out the form online from CGPET official website. The charge Registration for is approx. 150rupees. The date of registration is April - May.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is quite good the curriculum is also good but the faculty is not well experienced and the qualifications of the faculty are little good. Their teaching style is not sufficient. The exam considers 2 times in a year there is 2 semester in a year 6 month semester in 1 semester there is also at least two class test the exam is not very tough but also not easy.

Placement Experience

The placement is not good here but compared to the other college the placement is good. Many companies come here to recruit students. 10-25% of students get placement. But the salary is low therefore many students don't prefer to get a job there. The average salary is 200k - 250k.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college says students who want to get admission in that 60k/ year but that is not true. Many students study only on the basis of scholarships they pay the scholarship to the college only and have no need to give an extra amount. But that things do not happen to everyone. The fees are different for different students, so make sure to negotiate with the person who's through you are getting admission the fees are flexible. You will also get it if you do not belong to the general category. For obc 22k scholarship/year Sc/St gets 25k approx every year. The college doesn't provide any jobs for students.

Campus Life

The campus life is very enjoyable the libraries are also good. You can get your semester books free from the library. The extra curriculum activities are also good here. They provide NCC and NSS as well. The events are organized by students sometimes and by teachers sometimes.

Life at GEC Raipur

Placement Experience:

Final year students are eligible to appear for campus placements which starts towards the end of their 7th semester. Companies that visited for Civil Engineering: L&T, Adani, Stratview Research, PlanetSpark and several local firms. The highest packages were offered by Adani (approx 7 LPA) and L&T (6-7 LPA). Around 5-7 students received placement offers from the mentioned companies. My College Review- insight from NIT Raipur

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester, the placement starts. Till now around 30-40 snrs have placed. All the good snrs I know and have already been placed. Companies like- Caterpillar, Schneider Electric, JSL, JSPL, JWL, netarwala, Amazon, Dassault System, Reliance, phonepe, Deloitte, come to our college.

Yeah ,the course in terms of comprehensiveness is really satisfactory. I have some issues with sequence of subjects which are covered ,but there is no compromise with the comprehensiveness. So I would rate good that too .

NIT Raipur Review: Where knowledge meets real world engineering.

Placement Experience:

1. Students from seventt semester and onwards are eligible for the campus placements. 2. There are ample numbers of comapnies visited in our college like schneider electric, bpcl,bhel,bhel,reliance,catterpillar,eil, and so on. As per the last year data around 130 comapnies made in to our campus and they offered around 800 plus offers to various studenst of different departments. 3. The highets package offered this year is 60 lakhs that is offered by DE Shaw and average package is something around 11 laks per annum 4. Taking considerations of students of all departments, almost 70 percent students get placed. 5. Presently my plan after getting degree is to get into a job.

This course I think has a very bright future as the cheap making industry is everywhere and in futue AI will require physical component which will be full filled by this department so this will be fulfeeling the real word application however the course maybe more practical.
