CHOUKSEY ENGINEERING COLLEGE BILASPUR

The university syllabus is good but I find it a bit old and long. It would be great if it was a short and updated version. There is a good focus on practical knowledge in the syllabus, but in our college not much attention is given to practical, otherwise the syllabus is very good.

I pay my college fees semester wise. My fee for 1 semester is Rs. 30000 and Rs. 60000 for 1 year. From this I get a scholarship of Rs. 22676 for 1 year. I have OBC caste scholarship. Apart from this, caution money of Rs. 1500 is taken in college. University sports fees of Rs. 150 and stationary fees of Rs. 5000 are taken compulsory for training in 3 semesters. In the last year also Rs. 1000 is taken compulsory fee for training and placement. Thus, in a total 4 year course, Rs. 248150 is spent; bus fees + hostel fee of Rs. 30000.

Along with cultural programs in the college, there are many programs like sports and quiz competitions, coding competitions etc. The biggest cultural program of the college is known as Techno-tech. In which celebrities from outside are invited. Last year in 2024, music consults were held in which "Gajendra Verma" was invited. Similarly, Chouksey has his own sports festival program. All types of festivals are also celebrated well.

At the time of my college selection, during counselling I had first priority selected a government engineering college in my city because the teachers there teach very well, but I had got low scores in JEE and state level entrance exam PET due to which I had to select the best private college in my city, Chouksey Engineering College Bilaspur (CEC Bilaspur). There are other private colleges here also example the best private college is CEC as compared to LCIT college. The best government engineering college among all the private colleges is GEC.

In our college, apart from the HOD mam, 2-3 teachers teach very well but there are 1-2 teachers who do not know how to teach. After almost 2 months, half the syllabus is abolished and class tests are taken (CT). This is done twice by the college, CT-1 and CT-2, in which the one who scores higher, his marks go to the university.

The college is located in out of city area where the environment is very peaceful and all kinds of needs are available. There is greenery around. There is no noise during the night. There is no disturbance due to studies.
