Remarks
Special training programs are introduced in the course so as to give students a basic knowledge about some of the infectious diseases. Trainees have included personnel from government and non-government backgrounds - including NGOs. They are so good at their work that all the students who took this training got 100% credits in their programme.
Entrance Preview
This is a one year post graduate diploma in public health management, The programme is a regular course lasting for nine months of class room teaching and three months of project work including field study. To get admission in the college, the student needs to fill an application form available online on the website and pay the application fees and has to appear for a couple of rounds of interview. If performed well, the student will be offered a seat at that particular moment.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure of the course involves a lot of things so as to help the student learn and understand the subject in a better way. It utilizes a variety of teaching/ learning techniques, including seminars, journal clubs, collaborative learning, group discussions, case studies, lecture discussions, assignments, hands- on training on computers, visits to organizations of public health interest, practicum and field projects.
College Events
IIPHs have collaborated with range of institutions to improve public health in India and influence global public health. This gives students an access to a lot of events where-in they can visit and learn and experience the reaction of the people and the industry towards these public health management events and can also take part in these events.
Faculty
Faculty with diverse disciplinary backgrounds, having national and international experience combined with a breadth and depth of public health expertise are teaching this course. The faculties of this college has helped me achieve my targets and I was able to perform very well in my examinations. They also helped me in getting over my fears in few areas of some subjects. I found a great guide and a mentor in these faculties.
