Remarks
You have to appear for the CET exam after the 12th std. The CET score and 12 marks decide your status of admission. The admission process was smooth. Since the college is a private college, no government exams are considered for admission. The academic year starts in September. Scheduled castes and tribes are given minority benefits.
Course Curriculum Overview
The exams were conducted once a year. The internal term exams were conducted within the college. The final exams were conducted in outside medical colleges, theory paper only. Viva exams were conducted within the college and consisted of practicals as well as case presentations. It was easy if you knew the topic well.
Internships Opportunities
The internship is compulsory. You have to attend opds and ipds in rotation of various departments. You need to complete a thesis with cases at the end of the internship in a particular department. The Mumba Devi hospital has both homoeopathic as well as allopathic opds. Besides, rotation is also given in nearby Nanavati, and Aarogyanidhi hospitals.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is roughly 150000 per year. Books and miscellaneous extra. There is no scholarship awarded to the students. There is no stipend given to the students. After the final year, students must attend opds and ipds in the Mumbadevi hospital on campus as part of their internship program.
Campus Life
Students from each year form a student council. This council organises all the cultural programs. The head of the council is the general secretary, appointed from amongst the members of the council. An annual function is a week-long event held every year. The theme and days and events are decided by the student council. The competitions are year-wise and it is a mega event with celebrities too. The library is well stocked with books on all topics from most authors. Students are required to get a library card on which they can loan books. Computers with wifi are also available for research. Sports day is also held once a year with students as well as professors taking part.
Hostel Facilities
The admission of hostel is based on availability. The charges are lesser for homoeopathis students than for other faculty students. Laundry charges are included,. Food is chargeable. But the locality and the security, the accessibility make the hostel a good option for girls.
