Remarks

Eligibility of the course was higher secondary with a minimum of 50%. The application form was available in the MP Online portal under the head of the admission in technical institutions and after filling out the form the entire counseling was the college's responsibility. I am from the UR category but I got admission under the tuition fee waiver (TFW) Scheme. I would suggest that admission should be purely on merit and not on the reservation.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course curriculum is designed by RAJIV GANDHI PROUDYOGIKI UNIVERSITY (RGPV) and is comprehensive that aims to make student industry ready. The faculty-student ratio was about 1:45. faculty were enough qualified and most of the professors were pursuing Ph.D. in their specialization. Term exams were quarterly and they were of moderate level so you can pass it easily if you are attentive in class.

Internships Opportunities

3

Some of the companies that offered internships were pie-Infocom, pin-click, and trade-India. Roles offered were product designer, Sales manager and a decent stipend of around 12,000 was offered. The projects offered were as - 1. To design an automotive door 2. To complete 3 sales within a month

Placement Experience

2.5

Yes, Campus placements are offered but companies in the core sector are limited and students sometimes have to take out a core job. Usually, final-year students are eligible for campus interviews but some companies also look for pre-final-year students. Cognizant, TCS, and Tech-M were some major companies visited during my final year and the average offers made by these companies was around 4.2 LPA. the highest package was 9 LPA and the lowest was 3 LPA. Around 60% of students got placements but I planned to get into defense so I was intentionally out of these interviews.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is affordable and also if you have got good marks in higher secondary, you could get a fee waiver under the TFW ( tuition fee waiver) scheme. You can also get various govt scholarships if you are from SC or ST category. The fee was not hiked even once in my four years of college. There was no stipendary job.

Campus Life

3

An annual fest called halcyon is organized every year in summer and various cultural, as well as technical programs, are organized under it. The library is quite abundant with books and journals. Classrooms are well-ventilated and spacious. Sports activities are limited within the campus but students take part in inter-college and inter University games. HECCA is an alumni club run by alumni of HCET which organize various fest from time to time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the curriculum around 5 or 6 out of 10. i chose this course mainly because of the computer and coding subjects. the syllabus is mostly theory based and many topics are not very useful for current industry needs. practical classes and real projects are also limited. more coding, projects and updated technologies should be added. exams are frequent during the semester and the difficulty is mostly average but sometimes checking feels strict.
