Admission to the college is through government quota by the Neet exam. My neet score was 569, college cutoff of government medical College Bhavnagar was 569. I got admission to the college in the third round through state counseling.

Course Curriculum Overview

This year's curriculum is of 9 months instead of 18 months due to the ongoing corona crisis, counseling delay, and EWS matter in the supreme court, and in which also 3-month of teaching is online due to the strike by the Student association. The faculty here is good compared to private colleges.

Internships Opportunities

As mentioned earlier we have to do an internship after completing the theoretical portion in sir t campus for which we are paid 18000. In these long years of internship, we learn how to treat and deal with different type of patients.

Placement Experience

We have to do an internship in sir T general hospital after 4.5 years of studying, the remuneration provided during the internship is 18000 per month. After that, all the bonded candidates are to be served in the village for 1 year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure here is 25000 annually and fees will be the same for all the curriculum periods, other than these we have to pay hostel fees and other fees. The total fee that has to pay for 1st year is 40000.

Campus Life

The infrastructure of these colleges is not so good, there is no facility available here for sports and extracurricular activities. There is only one small ground that is also not well maintained, that ground is used to play volleyball and kabaddi.

Is gmc bhavnagar a good choice over other colleges in Gujarat

I applied to all the government colleges of gujarat and this was the college i got into i also applied for some semi government colleges like gmers sola and gmers gotri I got admission in gmers sola and i didn't go there because of some reasons like it is a semi government institute with a annual fees structure of 3.75 lakhs and a management quota also exists there after giving neet you aim for a government college and you need not to pay such hefty fees for your comfort and facilities even if you're getting a gmc in a village it's good enough than anything as the government is paying so much on you as a reward of clearing neet ug examination I didn't get admission in all other government colleges rather than gmc bhavnagar because of the neet scam this year ans such sky high cutoffs but I'm satisfied enough that i atleast got a gmc i didn't even apply in all india quota as i didn't wanna go out of Gujarat so in Gujarat we only have 6 government colleges and other are semi gov clgs...Read More
