Any graduates (B.Sc, B.Com, B.A, B.Tech, BCA, BBA) can apply for OJEE MCA Entrance Exam. Generally, the applications for OJEE are released during APRIL-MAY and the Exam dates are around JUNE. The result gets published in JULY and couselling starts immediately after the result declaration. Since MCA is a professional course and it makes anyone industry ready. As the IT sectors are growing rapidly nowadays, one should have knowledge of the latest IT technology in order to get into top MNCs and Startups. In CET, the MCA faculty and students ratio is 3:10. All the faculties have done their PhD and are excellent in teaching their respective assigned subjects. HOD of MCA dept of CET is also co-operative and concerned towards students. The best thing about CET is that it is now a unitary autonomous university and its course structure is quite similar to NIT, and IITs. You will get a lot of opportunities to explore yourself here. Exams are scheduled to keep an eye on course completion and a student can easily score above 9 cgpa, if he/she will be consistent with his/her studies. It is not that difficult to pass semester exams. It depends upon you.

There are a lot of start-ups that come to our college for internships like GRAPPUS, Ajatus, YEllOWMAN LAB and also top MNCs like Cognizant and Cisco provide internship opportunities on campus. In MCA, there is a mandatory internship there in our curriculum, which helps students to know about the real business problem of the company. During our academics, we have to do at least 3 projects and that too mandatory. That's why this college plays a vital role in shaping the student's career.

Every Branch Student can sit for the placement from the start of their final year i.e B.Tech students sit from the 7th semester and Master's students from the 3rd semester. There are hundreds of companies coming to our college. A lot of students get placed every year in top MNCs. The college's placement officer is too generous and concerned about 100% placement of students. The placement policies of this college have no match with any other college out there in Odisha. That's why this college is going to have an infrastructure like IIT, and IIM with government funding of 1500 crores. Once you get into this college, there will be no regret. Also, Students of our college opt to go for CAT, UPSC, and SSC exams. So many alumni of this college are Civil Servants.

Total college course fees are around 65000 (i.e 32400 per year) If you opt for hostel accommodation, then you have to pay a fee of 5330 (room rent, electricity, water, wifi use) and mess fees is 13000 per semester. Also, there are so many scholarships available. There is a merit-based scholarship for the students, who score well in their semester (5% of students get this scholarship and it's 10000 per year). Apart from these, you can avail state scholarships through the college(You will get around 27000 per year) College's placement scenario is impressive. 98% of total students(including every branch student) get placed. Also high paying companies like Amazon, Trilogy, Cisco, Deloitte, HashedIn, PWC, and Analog Device come to our college for placement drives.

There are a lot of fests organized every year including technical fests like Zairzest, Coding Competition, and Hackathons. Also, there is a college fest that happens every year named "XTASY". Enormous student clubs are out there i.e Sports club, Literature Club (CETAEDAL), Art and Craft club (INKVENT), Online Gaming and technical club (ZAIRZA)

Honestly, with fewer accomodation fees you will get no such food and facilities anywhere as CET hostels give. There are two hostels for ladies ( KHR and KCHR) and two hostels for boys ( RHR, APJAKHR). Other facilities include GYM, Free WiFi, Clean Mess Dining place and a Big Screen LED TV in the mess hall. If you don't get a hostel, there are hostels outside of the college, but they charge more than that of the College's hostel.
