College Life at NIMS

There was Common Entrance Test which is known as CET in short which was conducted totally by Makaut itself. We had to personally go to the allotted center and give that test. The test was in MCQ mode and on the OMR sheet. Thereafter we got a RANK Card from Machaut. After that, we had to apply to our preferred college. This was the whole process.

I wanted to explore the Management aspect of Commerce. So I choose this course. The exam was conducted on time. If the student had studied throughout the semester for him or it was not a difficult task to pass with good marks.

From the 4th Semester, we became eligible for campus placements. M-pocket, Just Dial, etc. visited our college for conducting campus interviews. Many of our classmates applied and tested their luck. College took many initiatives to bring many companies but due to the Covid pandemic's effect it wasn't possible but they tried a lot.

The fee structure was average and we can afford it. There was also an installment facility too. The college provided good placement options to the students. There was a campus as well as an off-campus interview. The college also took mock interview sessions to prepare the students to deal with the interview questions.

In February we had a picnic every year. But due to the Pandemic, we have missed it once. There was also an annual and freshers welcoming function held. The college library has lots of books on every subject. Smart classes were also held. There were 4 clubs in which the students enrolled their names. We visited Jorasanko Thakur Bari as a part of club activity. And yes many eminent people came to our college to enrich our knowledge through various seminars.
