Remarks
There is no entrance examination for admission to Presidency College, Chennai. The admission is completely based on marks. The application form and related details will be available in the tngasa.in website. For other state students, there is no reservation, the admission is completely based on marks. They should come in the top 6-10 students of the rank list.
Course Curriculum Overview
First of all, I chose Physics for my own personal interest. But regarding the Department of Physics in Presidency College, it's really good. It's the oldest department in the college, known for its prominent alumnus Dr. C. V. Raman and Dr. S. Chandrashekhar. All the teaching and non-teaching staffs are very supportive and are well experienced. Most of them try to provide their students with maximum exposure via various programs and workshops. Examinations and publication of results happen at the correct time.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is very less fee here since it's Government Autonomous College. During my course at the College, there was no hike in the fees. Regarding scholarships, all Central government and State government scholarships can be applied with correct guidance from the college. I was an inspiring scholarship awardee for which I got all the guidance throughout. Regarding scholarships under nsp (national scholarship portal), there is a staff-in-charge who will take care of all the related procedures.
Campus Life
College is always open to extracurricular activities on campus. There will be a college day as well on which students can showcase their talents. There are many College based clubs such as Rotaract Club, and Eco club.
