Remarks
The admission process was good, not difficult nor too easy; just enough for the comfort of parents and students. My eligibility for the course was based on the EAMCET rank, I secured. During the admission process, all the required forms were in the accounts section in block-1 and there were people to help too. The admission process was pretty easygoing. Considering the comfort of parents and students, there could be few fans for the comfort of people. Now, coming to the application fees; I don't think there are any, honestly, I don't remember as it was four years ago. Application date also as far as I remember, I got it on a working day, hence my parents had to take a leave on that day. Considering the hard work of parents, it could be arranged on Sundays as it is easier for them to take care of the process. Yes, this might be difficult for faculty and staff to come on Sunday, but that can be compensated with a few Saturdays and other holidays, considering admissions being the main limb of a college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Electrical was is and will always be my choice of education. No matter what, electrical is the only option my mind will accept. Coming to the faculty-student ratio, it doesn't matter as far as the class is interesting (electrical as always is), engaging and lively. Teaching methods of faculty cannot be generalized as the faculty teach using different methods and all of it can't be categorized into one, yes there are few boring ones, but the important subjects are given to the best faculty. Hence the problem is solved. But, it's too much to take all the faculty into one place, as every human being has their own potential and methods. Tey, the improvement can be done by taking honest reviews anonymously from trustworthy students. It will be too much to comment on exams as it is completely dependent on JNTUH. Our college has very negligible authority to change the exam pattern or what so ever. Since it is an autonomous institution, the difficulty was slightly on the lesser side.
Placement Experience
Once a student completes his 6th semester, then the student is eligible for campus placements. More than 15 companies visited the campus till now and there is a lot to come. I expect the count to be more than 50 at the end of the academic year. The average package is around 3-4LPA and the highest offer cracked is 6.5LPA till now in my batch and in my seniors batch it's around 7-8 LPA. The percentage of students getting placed is also pretty fair, as a good number of them have backlogs and companies aren't recruiting students with backlogs. My heart says go for M-tech in Power Electronics after this degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
Again, this is fixed by the JNTUH and our college has got nothing to do with it. No matter what our college barely has any change in the fee structure for regular students. Yes, the government gives scholarships but it's only for reserved sections of the society as if the non-reserved are rich and wealthy. This change has to come from the government where the scholarship is given on the basis of the income of the family rather than the so-called group they belong to. Personally, I've secured a 5 LPA package offer on-campus placement.
Campus Life
The fests are conducted during the even semester and that's from March-April. The fests are named Bhaswara, VIBES, and VIBGYOR. The library is fine, not too bad for an interesting read neither too many books to concentrate on. The classrooms are not bad, with fair enough benches and few classes having projectors. Personally, I feel the green boards should be replaced with whiteboards. Sports fest happens once a year and on-campus sports life is pretty boring. There isn't any proper cricket ground, or volleyball court to play on. The table tennis and carroms are good. Clubs always run well and well. Clubs are the best part of college.
Other Applied Colleges
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University - [JNTUH] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electrical and Electronics Engineering)
Writing a honest one, I didn't know a lot about engineering colleges in Hyderabad. As soon as I was searching for good engineering colleges in my location, this was not in the top results, so it was obvious I wouldn't know about this college.
