Remarks
I opted for MCA as BVICAM provides the best placements among all the colleges of IPU. IPU takes students in this course on the basis of NIMCET. MY rank was 1585 so I got 1st shift. There are 2 shifts in bvicam. You have to fill choices in online mode and you'll be allocated college on the basis of your preference and rank. You have to report to the college to verify documents once you are allocated college. Then you have to pay fees through DD or whatever you are comfortable with. The overall admission procedure is easy.
Course Curriculum Overview
MCA is one of the professional programmes. You will definitely get a good job in the IT sector if you work hard. The faculty of bvicam is very helpful and generous. They will help you in every aspect. Almost everyone is MTech or PhD. Their way of teaching is amazing. Internal theory exams and practical exams along with external theory and practical exams are conducted. In each semester you have to make a minor project too.
Internships Opportunities
Companies like Infosys come to the college and hire students for summer internships. It can be paid or unpaid depending on the company itself. Basically, college itself doesn't provide internship opportunities but you will get a chance to get placed in the best Companies.
Placement Experience
From the 2nd semester onwards you'll be eligible to sit in campus placements. TCS, Infosys, Wipro, cognizant, IPV, etc come every year to the campus to hire students. The highest package is around 10 lacs and the average package is 5.3 lacs whereas the lowest is 3.5 lacs. Almost 92 per cent of students got placed last year. I'll be joining an IT company only after getting a degree or before that.
Fees and Financial Aid
The overall fee is 1.65 lacs. You will have to pay 4500rs for books and other facilities. If you take aptitude classes then you will have to pay 4500rs more. You should be in proper uniform and uniform will cost you 4k more. But in the end, you'll get a good job. There are so many companies which recruit students from campus only.
Campus Life
It's a master's programme so you'll have to study more. But there is a playground on the campus. You can play volleyball, cricket, badminton, TT, basketball etc. Apart from sports college organises events like freshers, fest, farewell, alumni meet etc. You'll get certificates to participate in those events.
