Entrance Preview

PGCET-Karnataka. Wanted to be in managerial experience and showcase my potential. I was selected for final rounds in couple of rounds but due to unknown reasons, none of them got selected in the final rounds for any of these two company. The college should take pro-activeness in placement section, because sending students to the company for the interview does not ends their responsibility.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

As the college is affiliated to Bangalore University, there is not much scope with the college to flex with the curriculum, in order to focus on the research. If the college is isolated from the Bangalore University, there is a lot the college can do with grooming of the students and hence the industry ready students can be sent to the market. But the sad part with all those college under Bangalore University is that entire course time of 2 years goes unproductive in studying those stuffs which mostly is not needed in the today market take it Finance, IT, statistics etc.

Internships Opportunities

I would hardly think if the college provided any reference for the students for their internship, resulting in fake internship experience provided by the students. I would think this as part of Placement cell responsibility.

Placement Experience

2

For finance section i guess around 2-3 companies. JP Morgan, Coco cola & Fire pro. The above companies name are the cream of the companies which has come rest else where just for the sake of coming they had come. Overall average package, they offered is 3.25- 3.5 lakhs.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For Students getting admitted through PGCET-MBA i would be feasible but the fees for the students coming through management quote it was expensive looking at the facilites the college offered and the quality of faculties.Govt quote-55k, Management-4-5 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship was given from the Bangalore University for the SC/ST students and students of the parents who are farmers. As such i did not see college giving out any scholarships.

Campus Life

2.5

Gender ratio was M:F 60-40, the reason females was less would be nonavailability of Hostel. There was no gender bias and Religion Bias, all were treated on equal grounds. I would say Student was good, where i saw people coming from J&K to Tamil nadu because RSS Trust had developed good brand value.

Alumni/Alumna

There were less alumni interaction as not much was available in curriculum time for the interaction.I had couple of interaction of Alumni, i would suggest the management to create such environment where students interact with Alumni more and more, instead of inviting them only on certain occasions.

Students become eligible for the campus placements from around the 4th trimester (2nd year) onwards. The college placement cell is very efficient and super helpful in providing placement opportunities to the students and always aid them. Companies like Mahindra Finance, Vodafone, Airtel, Nykaa, Wipro, Bosch etc. The average package is around 8 LPA and the highest package offered so far has been 16 LPA. There is nearly 100% placement from the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course structure was good as everything was done in a systematic way. Best thing I learnt from college is that I got to meet new people and get chance to communicate with them by which I believe to some extent my English was improved. For learning the college is good but for placement not good at all
