My college, my review

The eligibility for pursuing B.com (Hons) from SGRRITS is 10+2 with minimum 45% from any recognized school board. The application form is available both online and offline (at college) and the application fees is 500. I don't know much about reservation benefits but there is deduction in fees if the student's brother/ sister has studied from the same college or from any SGRR school and many more. No improvements in admission process.

I chose this course because I found it lucrative and interesting. The faculty: student ratio is good. There are enough teachers in the university and all of them are well qualified for their purpose. Most of the teachers had a good teaching methods but some were not so good in terms of teaching. The exams are held twice a semester and are not so hard to get pass.

The placements were good but not very good. After the fourth semester (last year) the students become eligible for campus placements or internships. The highest package was 3.6 lpa by companies like Decathlon. The average package was 2.4 lpa. I haven't applied for any of the placements but as much I know there were a less number of students getting selected for placement. I will look for a job after I get my degree.

The admission was ?5,000 and dress fee was ?6,000.At my time the fees structure was 20,200 for one semester and 20,000 for second and respectively. The university is strict when it comes to submission of fees by students. The university do provide scholarships for OBC/SC/ST students but when I applied for this scholarship my experience was awful. When at last, I submitted my scholarship form but after that there was no information about my scholarship.

Honestly, I haven't had much of my campus life and fests because of lockdown but there was an annual fest which was quite good also there was a sports week which was fabulous. Several debates,quiz competitions and trips were also organised by the university. The classrooms are very well maintained and well ventilated and every furniture was good in shape and size.
