Remarks
Since it is a private college, there is no entrance interview or exam. Also, merit in school is not considered for admission in the course I had applied for. The eligibility for the course was the 12th pass out from any school(Hindi or English medium). The institute does provide reservation benefits but since I fall in a general category, I have no idea about it. The admission process shouldn't be so smooth, at least a general conversation with the HOD should be made before getting into the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course because I don't want to go for engineering. Plus, this is an easy-going course and you can explore other career opportunities alongside. The faculty was good, not all, but some of them. The faculty for personality development was a gem, and the tutor for food production was also a very experienced guy. Teachers for core hospitality subjects were good and had some industry experience as well. The teaching method was satisfactory, but it could have been better. Exams were taken quarterly, two minor exams, and two major exams. Very easy to pass for someone who can write Average English.
Internships Opportunities
companies like Taj, ITC, Hyatt, and Radisson group pick freshers for job training with a salary of 15-20 thousand per month. The job training is offered in all the core departments like food production, service, housekeeping, and front office.
Placement Experience
One can start searching for jobs from the Fifth semester. Collage make us visit top organizations for placement or through video conferencing, like Taj, ITC, etc. The fresher package in this course is generally low or else you get a job overseas. An average package would be 2.5 lakh. 20% of guys getting placed through campus, since most of the guys don't go for campus placed jobs as the package is not convincing. I decided to go for another course and immediately after passing the course I went for a fresh new course as my postgraduate.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees were standard for the whole course and overall the amount was satisfactory considering the expenses of the course. I am not known to any scholarship plan, however, there could be a scholarship for the reserved category. Campus placement was there but the rate of placement wasn't very high, almost 20%.
Campus Life
One annual function and two food fests. course books were always available in the library, however, the library was very narrow and small. The classroom consists of four fans, a two-seater bench, and a whiteboard fully lighted up. No sports, campus has no playground and no extracurricular activities.
