Entrance Preview

Being a Maharashtra domicile student, I had secured admission through the MH CET and later through the GD/PI session conducted by the Akemi Business School.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum was adequate. It was the same as the one prescribed by the University of Pune.

Placement Experience

Placements at Akemi are not all that great. Most of us found jobs on our own though there were a few campus placements at Akemi.

College Events

College life is quite active at Akemi. We used to have some internally organised extra-curricular events for students.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is some kind of a scholarship available for Maharashtra state students only. I didn't avail of it. More details can be obtained from the college itself.

Campus Life

We had people from all over India but mostly Maharashtra. The crowd is a nice mix of people from different backgrounds.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are sufficient. The hostels are different for boys and girls. Living standards were quite adequate.

External Expense: Rs.7000 - Rs.10000

Exam Structure

The Akemi college follows a semester pattern of examinations.

Faculty

The faculty was just about sufficient. There were many guest lecturers. Some of the subjects were covered in a hurry as the guest lecturers could not come on a regular basis.

Not a dream college but a real one

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

Experience at ASM IBMR

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements after completing 2nd semester and entering in 3rd semester. Attendance is compulsory for getting the opportunity for placements. The companies like IDBI Bank, HDFC Bank, Property pistol, Godrej Capital are available for placements. The highest paid package is 9.75 for sales and marketing. Till now( 3rd semester) 60% to 70% students are placed. There are more opportunities for sales and marketing as compared to other fields.

Placement Experience:

from 2 sem you get to apply from interships and from 5th sem for placements ,i applied for only company which was tiaa one of the most biggest mnc in india who is direct compitator of jp morgan , i got a package of 6 lacks ctc per anum but the highest package was 12 lacks , the college has a policy that all student gets placed no students are left behind

Promising campus with room for better faculty.

Placement Experience:

After sem 4 we get final placement companies in the campus there are total 200 plus companies come to the campus till september to november almost 35 companies already come to the campus. The companies are ICICI, HDFC, RISHAB WORLD, INSYNC, DENSTU, ITC, BHARAT ELECTRONICS, CORDELIA CRUISE, MORNING STAR, NOMURA, NYKA, NAUKRI.COM. the highest package was given by a company name bharat electronics for HR specialization is 12 lakhs per annum. Almost in my time there 35percent get placed. I plan after degree is first 3-5 yrs in corporate lufe then after own business.

The placements opportunities are very good. mostly the whole batch gets placed. big companies like google and Microsoft come to campus and recruit a good number of students. it has a good average package in summers about 160000 per month.

KJ Somaiya - A lively campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.

Remarks:

No such bad remarks though. As the college is very superior and one can take admission with complete ease as the college faculty, staff, workers are very helpful and there motive is very clear and remarkable. This college surely helps students in grooming and enhancing skill to the top. I would definitely recommend this college to the upcoming students those who are planning to do MBA in order to achieve goals and learn quality skills.

Good post graduate program with strong cirriculum

Remarks:

Overall, I would say that I think this is a very unique course being offered by SP Jain and they are very strict with the submission timelines and quality of work. This is definitely is not a run off the mill part time MBA. The institute makes sure you sweat to earn your degree, respectfully!
