Better college to start the career and life

There are limited government seats available in this course. There is 5 govt. seats alloted to general category, and 5 each to the OBC and ST/SC categories. While govt reserved seats have fees structure of 2900INR+1500 exam fees per semester, non-govt seats costs upto 40000INR+ 1500 exam fees per semester. BR Doshi school of Biosciences is the most prestigious college of Sardar Patel University with every professor having 25+ years of experience. they have limited admissions every year through the merit list. The admission starts at the beginning of the academic year during the counselling. There is no enterance exam but the result of BSc matters most.

BRD is best known for their faculty members. Every course offered is taught by 25+ years of experienced professors. My special interest was in Microbiology. The curriculum designed for my course is a bit hectic. While it is a practical based course with much credit, we had to perform lengthy practicals. However, the professors made sure we understood and enjoyed the concept thoroughly. It is important for a student to attend all the respective lectures or it would be difficult to pass the exam. The teaching methods are appreciated and were enough to get ready for the term exams.

The fee structure is different for govt. and non-govt. seats. The govt. seats demand 2900INR per semester, while non-govt. seats demand for 40000 fees per semester. Scholarships and financial assistance are also available for girls, students from low-income families, and OBC & ST/SC category students. Campus placement is limited. There were only 5 pharmaceutical companies came in my academic year.

Life at the campus is very cheerful. There were multiple clubs to join like sports clubs, cultural clubs, etc. Most the festivals were celebrated whether it is Diwali, Christmas, or Eid. Many competitive and cultural activities were popular on the campus, such as the annual fest and garba nights. The infrastructure is appreciated as well including the Library. The college had a library with all the possible books, however, Sardar Pater University also offered one of the biggest Libraries in gujarat for student purpise.

There are n numbers of hostels and PGs available in Vallabhvidhyanagar. University also provides Girls hostel in the name of Women hostel. Charges are different for different type of sharing rooms and facilities. minimum price is 2500INR for three sharing+ common washroom toilet and maximum charges are 4500INR for two sharing room+ attached washroom toilet. Moreover, there are various PGs and hostels available in the area ranging from 30000INR to 50000INR per year depending on the facilities offered. The quality of food offered in Women hostel is good. Various small and big hotels and restaurants are there in the VVN offering good quality food at affordable prices.
