Remarks

After the academic year of 2021-22, the college has opted for conducting Entrance exams for admissions. All admission details are available on the college website and the process is smooth and easy. Hassle-free I'd say.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose English literature because of its Excellent faculty, amazing experience and knowledge. The guidance provided by teachers is very concurrent, latest and useful. In M. A class, approx 1:50 is the teacher Student ratio. Of them, 30 are present regularly. The teachers are excellent, hardworking, and dedicated and teach religiously not just limited to the textbook but also outside the text. Discussions are enlightening and brilliant. The exam schedule is quite unpredictable sometimes but they're easy to be performed and can be passed with a bit of hard work.

Fees and Financial Aid

I do not know about the fees hike but the fees are bearable to even the lower middle class as far as the prices of fees are concerned. There are various scholarships provided by colleges which are given by the Government of Maharashtra for students belonging to the reserved categories.

Campus Life

5

The annual fest is Spandan. Happened in the month of April recently. More than 3000 students from more than 30 departments took part in the festival. There is a library that has books from all categories and genres and also the classics. It is easily accessible with an ID card and there's a large reading room for studies as well in the library. Classrooms are well lit and sufficiently ventilated. Although they are quite worn out in terms of paint as such due to being a Heritage structure. There is a basketball ground, as well as a huge cricket ground where many matches take place next to gymkhana. Social clubs are sometimes created by respective departments for their students or sometimes by students who follow specific passions. There is a history club run by students for students. These clubs later become the HQ for organizing departmental fests and activities

Placement Experience:

The students join in large numbers in this college because of better placements only. They are aware of the same before admission. There is a placement cell called CGPC on the campus which consists of students from the final year. They take care of the students' placement needs. There are many companies like BAIF, Pradan, Kudumbshree, Rajivika, Bihar SRLM, MP SRLS, ORMAS, OLM, Antra, APF, etc. 100% of students get placed from all the courses. Some students of SIE go for establishing their own business enterprise and they do not sit for placements, some want to go for higher studies. Those who wish to get a job all get a job.

Remarks:

Symbiosis School of International Studies, in short, was the biggest mistake of my life. It's not worth spending 5 lakhs. I've heard that they increase the fees by 10% every year. Apart from the hostel which is managed by Symbiosis International (Deemed) University, nothing provided by the college is worth the money. The health centre is even worse. They don't check the patients on time. The medicines prescribed are either too strong or ineffective.
