Entrance Preview

I appeared for IIT-JEE, AIEEE & KIITEE in 2012, during my 12th sessions. I couldn't get a rank In IIT-JEE. My rank in AIEEE was not that decent enough for to get a government institute. Finally I ranked 7259 out of 3 lakhs students who appeared for KIITEE conducted by KIIT University. I got through the counselling process and luckily got Computer Science branch which I wanted to opt and KIIT being a reputed private college urged me to get into it.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Being a student for KIIT, I feels proud enough, as the college provides us intense research environment where one can nurture their skills for research purpose. The facilities for viewing the journals, the experienced professors are the key factors which help the student to carry out their research activities.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, the college provides internships for some research programs and SAP projects. The stipends varies every year and the experience is quite optimistic as it helps the student to get into corporate world easily. Also the college, arranges the internship facility for the student during the vacation so that the time can be managed properly.

The placement of KIIT is remarkable. Along with the CSE & IT branches which always have 100% placement, the other branches too get equal opportunities to get placed in good Core, Technical & Consultancy companies. The average package is 3.8 lakhs. the highest package for the year 2016 batch is 33 lakhs by a singapore company named Works Application. A lot of conferences on technological aspects like Distributed computing, Big-data, Android, Cloud computing and many more are conducted. A many of their are national level workshops. The conferences on projects and paper publication is an important attraction called as ICDCIT.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As, its a private university, the fees is abit expensive. The fees for my batch 2012-16 was 10 lakhs for the complete four year program. I charges almost 2.5 lakhs every year for all the engineering background student. The maximum of amount approx 2 lakhs is paid in the odd semester and the less amount 55 thousands is paid every even semester of every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provides 10k for the top 3 students of a branch in each semester through-out the year. Also during the counselling process, the college arranges the bank loan facilities for the needy students and the student can opt for loan if necessary.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* I had chosen to do mechanical engineering because I had some bond with machines and it's designing and was also aware with the scopes of mechanical engineering. * In real world the curriculum helped me a lot and still it is helpful, currently I'm preparing for position of junior engineer and there it is quite helpful for me. * I don't think any improvement is required in the course curriculum and teaching methods as everything was good at its place and it's also the responsibility of us (students) to know our curriculum thoroughly and give our best. * Exams were conducted at an interval of 6 months and as said earlier exams conducted were moderate level not too difficult or easy and with studies it can be cleared easily

Placement Experience:

Placements at KIIT University for B.Tech CSE are decent and well structured, especially for students who prepare consistently. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester, although pre placement talks training sessions and internships start from the 5th or 6th semester. The university has a centralized placement cell that coordinates training aptitude tests mock interviews and company drives. Many reputed companies visit the campus every year including TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini Deloitte EY Mindtree LTI Bosch HP Amazon and a few product based startups. Mass recruiters make a large number of offers while product and service based companies offer selective roles. The average package for CSE students usually ranges between 4 to 5 LPA, while the highest package can go above 20 to 25 LPA in exceptional cases depending on the company and role such as software developer or data engineer. Around 75 to 85 percent of CSE students get placed through campus placements. Students who remain unplaced usually pursue higher studies startups off campus jobs or competitive exam preparation. Placement success largely depends on individual effort coding skills internships and communication ability. After completing my degree I plan to work in the software industry to gain practical experience and improve my technical skills. Alongside my job I also plan to upskill in advanced technologies and later consider higher studies or specialized roles depending on career growth.

Campus placement i thik it's in your 4 year of engineering only i.e in your 6 semester. There is a lot of companies visited like jsw ,hindulgo and a lot to go . Jsw provides avg package of INR 12 LPA And it selected only 2 students only. I think girls get placement easily as compared to boys ... companies usually select more female candidates....I think I will go for job rather than doing masters degree.
